Marvel Rivals Needs To Add These Characters From Crisis Protocol
Marvel Rivals kicked off season 1 and has added two members of the Fantastic Four. But here’s a few more characters I want.
I already covered a few characters from Marvel Rivals I wanted to see added to Marvel: Crisis Protocol. But after writing that, I felt a little guilty because MCP has a DEEP roster of characters already. There’s roughly four times the number of characters in MCP than in Rivals, so if anything, Rivals has some catching up to do! Here’s just five that I’d love to see added.
Sidenote: I know there’s a leaked heroes list of upcoming characters. I’m ignoring that list and the heroes on it for now.
Thanos
I mean, c’mon! This ones seems pretty obvious. Thanos should absolutely be in this game. I think he’d be a great Vanguard (aka a Tank). He went toe-to-toe with the Hulk in the MCU. Plus the Mad Titan is kind of an iconic villain. I don’t know how his power set would be implemented in Rivals, but I’d like to see him wade into the enemies and take them to pound town!
Green Goblin
The Green Goblin is a classic Spider-Man villain. I’d love to see him get tossed into the mix of Marvel Rivals. Clearly, he’s swoop in as another flyer and a duelist. Personally, I think that Flying Duelists are pretty well balanced only because you rarely see them get heals when they are flying high. They also tend to hover and not “zoom” which fits the Green Goblin quite well.
Cable
Cable is another Marvel hero that should totally be in Marvel Rivals. Besides, the game revolves around time-travel and dimensional shenanigans anyhow. I’m positive that there’s a Cable running around in that timestream somewhere. Power-wise, I could actually see him filling any of the give roles of Vanguard, Duelist, or even Strategist. It just kind of depends on the direction the devs would want to lean into with him.
Nova
Can we get a Nova in Rivals!? I know technically he’s not in MCP yet. But he’s due out at the end of this month. So I’m counting him. I think he’d be a Duelist that would probably fly. He’s got energy blasts with his Gravimetric Cannon, but is also know of quite literally rocket into combat and knock foes around. I could see him getting some wild dash/push ability. Plus, I think his costume would look amazing in the Rival’s art style.
Juggernaut
You can’t tell me the Juggernaut wouldn’t be an amazing Vanguard in Rivals. I just hope if he does get added he gets some sort of momentum conservation ability to where other characters can’t really push him. I’ll be honest, I’m not sure if that would be possible as it would shut down quite a few character’s powers as a hard counter…but man that would be DOPE. Maybe it would be some sort of trigger or activation ability with a cooldown. Still, I’d love to charge him into the enemy team and watch them panic!
There’s still a TON of cross-over characters. Who do you want to see in both games? (Aside from Doctor Doom!)
