LEGO: Huge Star Wars Coruscant Battle Diorama Has Over 100,000 Pieces – Brings ‘Clone Wars’ To Life
This massive LEGO Battle of Coruscant diorama includes thousands of pieces and over a dozen Star Wars ships.
The Battle of Coruscant is one of the climactic actions of the Clone Wars. It is the real turning point of the war when the Separatists’ big gambit fails, and the Republic truly becomes ascendant. It’s also one of the coolest battles ever put on screen and an iconic part of Star Wars lore.
While Revenge of The Sith focuses on the space battle portion of the battle, there is also a massive ground battle going on at the same time. This is epically covered in the third season of Genndy Tartakovsky’s animated Clone Wars show. This stunning MOC brings that amazing ground combat to life in LEGO!
LEGO Battle of Coruscant
This is really a cool and huge MOC. It includes over 100,000 pieces. Over 300 minifigs in the various armies are fighting, and around a dozen vehicles are fighting in the streets. The whole thing is on a decently sized table that appears to be around 6×3 ft in size (that’s a rough guess). It’s also a couple of feet in height. The creator behind this MOC is Coconut Brick Studios – heck them out on Instagram and YouTube.
The whole MOC is roughly divided into three sections. The first is being overrun by Droids. The middle section has the main battle between Clones and Droids. The final third contains an entrance to the Galactic Senate building. In this section, you can see Chancellor Palpatine and his escort escaping. There is also a sneaky General Grievous planning to attack.

You can check out a full walk-through of the MOC below. The creator behind this huge build shows off, “the story builds as well as some awesome techniques that I used to build a massive Senate building, craters, battle damage in the road, and interiors to buildings that actually light up!”
Here are a few of the really cool details from the battles, showing off the action.
Fight Your Own Battle OF Coruscant With the LEGO Invisible Hand
The Invisible Hand is part of a line of big ships being made on this spaceship scale. It’s a great scale to show off big ships, and all of the sets they’ve put out have been real bangers. The Hand is a great-looking ship. Due to its size, it hasn’t got a UCS LEGO set yet, so it’s super cool to see it in this scale.
It’s also great that it has some play features, even at this small scale. The ship is built to snap in half, just like it does in RoTS! Very cool. It’s a nice display piece and on the cheaper side of LEGO kits, giving you great bang for your buck. It’s an easy way to recreate the Battle of Coruscant.
