Warhammer 40K: Games Workshop Drops Astartes II Trailer
Apparently, Games Workshop did NOT forget. Astartes II is coming. And it looks stunning and brutal — everything we were hoping for!
Hold on to your power armor because this trailer is going to knock your socks off. Astartes II has a new teaser trailer. It’s safe to say the hype train has officially left the station.
Astartes II Teaser Trailer
“The Warhammer Studio and the creator of the original Astartes animation, Syama, have been working closely together, blending his incredible flair for action and storytelling with decades of Warhammer 40,000 lore to unleash a compellingly grimdark story.”
It’s a really impressive look at the featured Space Marines in this story. I can’t wait to see this full version unfold. I’m also scratching my head in confusion just a bit. Apparently, the trailer isn’t featuring any clips of the new animation…
“This teaser trailer is not actually clips from the new animation, instead showing a compilation of shots that represent the former lives of the characters that will appear in the show. There’s a pretty unsubtle hint at the end as to the nature of the final story… We’ll leave you to speculate and start putting the pieces together yourselves.”
Well okay then! Here’s the thing, those clips are new…they aren’t from the first Astartes. So did GW make a bunch of clips specific for the trailer? Because that’s what this note is saying. That’s kind of crazy! Now, before you get too excited we do have a little bit of bad news:
“Astartes II is set to land in 2026. We know, it’s still a little way off, but it’ll be worth it.”
Whelp, that’s just one more thing to make 2025 feel like one of the longest years EVER. At least we’ll have something to look forward to in 2026.
I can’t wait to see what Astartes II cooks up after this trailer!
