Warhammer: Hobby Gauntlet Has Been Thrown

Games Workshop has issued a challenge for 2025. Are you up to the task to tackle it? You’ve got a whole year to complete it. Easy, right?

If you’re looking for some motivation for Warhammer this year then Games Workshop has a challenge for you. This is the Hobby Gauntlet for 2025 and it’s going to test your dedication. But there’s also rewards to be had!

This year’s #WarhammerChallenge is simple. Pledge yourself to a new hobby goal for 2025, whether that’s clearing those frames, building and painting a Combat Patrol or Spearhead, or catching up on those Black Library novels you’ve got sitting on your bookshelf.

I know this might just be a marketing ploy to get you involved with the hobby and play some games. But you know what? If that’s the motivation that works for folks to actually hobby and play games, well, good. The challenge seems straightforward enough. And the rewards are also simple. All you have to do is complete a row and earn rewards. There’s also some gift vouchers up for grabs — if you participate.

Post a picture on of your 2025 hobby progress to X or Instagram using #WarhammerChallengeCompetition to be in with a chance of winning. 

Six hobbyists will win £100 of virtual gift vouchers (or local currency equivalent) for use on warhammer.com. There will be prize draws on the 29th of January, the 26th of February, and the 26th of March 2025. Terms and conditions apply.

Seems doable! What I really like about this challenge is that you can totally knock out multiple squares at a time. For example, you might be painting up a 40k character miniature while listening to a Black Library Audio book. When you’re done, snap a photo and share it on whatever social media platform your prefer and use the #WarhammerChallengeCompetition tag on it. Boom. That’s three squares right there.

Anyhow, you get the idea. There’s loads of ways to check those boxes off. Just don’t forget to check in with your local Warhammer shop on all the info on how to get involved. It’s time to tackle the Warhammer Hobby in 2025!
