Age of Sigmar: Blades of the Hollow King Are Coming Soon

Cado Ezechiar and his companions are coming to the tabletop with a new set of miniatures for Age of Sigmar.
If you’re a fan of the anti-hero Cado Ezechiar then Games Workshop has some big news for you! Not only are Cado Ezechiar and his companions getting new miniatures they are also getting new rules in the upcoming Battletome Soulblight Gravelords.
“The Blades of the Hollow King have their own warscroll in Battletome: Soulblight Gravelords which brings all three characters together with powerful abilities to boost Cado’s spellcasting and their survivability. They will be playable as a Regiment of Renown for the Flesh-eater Courts, Nighthaunt and Ossiarch Bonereapers.”
Cado Ezechiar
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen Cado on the tabletop. His previous miniature also had rules and was styled to match the character on the book cover, too.
Now he’s back and he’s got some friends to accompany him.
“Wherever he goes he is accompanied by the souls of former mentors, counsellors and companions, bound to his rings. The scholar-mage Solia, his closest confidant and confessor, still retains her free will, and literally has his back in this new miniature.”
Also, in the boxed set, you’ll find two more companions. There’s the duelist Sissendra and the Death Mage Aurelias.
Sissendra
“The ruthless Sissendra is a merciless duellist who has fully given herself over to the Soulblight curse. Her violent indulgence marks her as a curious companion for Cado, but it was the Hollow King who turned her many years ago and he feels a sense of obligation to the terrifying rogue.”
Sissendra seems like a very dangerous vampire. She’s got similar armor to some of the other vampires we’ve seen but she’s also wielding two blades — fitting for her vampire duelist persona.
Aurelias
Curiously, Aurelias isn’t a vampire at all. He’s a powerful sorcerer who’s also accompanied by the twin-headed serpent named Kennistrix. If you know you’re lore that means that Neferata is keeping a close watch on Cado.
“And you can read all about Cado’s previous exploits in The Hollow King by John French, and its sequel The Dead Kingdom.”
Keep a look out for these miniatures coming soon from Games Workshop!
