Age of Sigmar: Gitmob Army Set Up Close
The Gitmob is coming to Warhammer: Age of Sigmar and we’ve got them in the studio built and ready for a closer look!
The Gloomspite Gitz are getting a new Battletome and it’s introducing a brand new (or refreshed version) faction for the army. The Gitmob is here to chase down the light of Glareface Frazzlegit (aka the sun or Light of Hysh personified as an Evil Sun). That takes these gitz out of the caves and on the backs of the Snarlfangs. There a bunch of new miniatures coming and we’ve got a look at them up close. So let’s dive in!
Box Contents:

The Gitmob Army Set Up Close
Droggz da Sunchompa
First up we have Droggz da Sunchompa. He’s the defacto leader of the Gitmob. Now, you could make that case that his mount is actually the real leader of the gitmob…just don’t tell him that. Anyhow, miniature-wise, I like this one! I love how much more beefy this whole miniature looks. Don’t get me wrong, he’s still not massive — this is still essentially a goblin on a wolf. But he’s larger and more imposing than the others which seems approriate.
I like all the details and the battle damage on this one too. You can tell that these two have been on quite the journey together. They seem a little weary to me. But at the same time it looks like a wolf pausing before the pack strikes to get their first meal in a while. There’s danger and a hunger there. I like it!
Sunsteala Wheela
Because there are two of these chariots in the box we are showcasing the alternate versions of the crew inside. This kit is neat because not only are we getting a beefed up chariot for the Gitz (finally) we’re also getting a modular kit, for the miniatures inside. You can really play around with the positioning and the weapons in the kit to make each one unique and that’s a good thing.
Snarlpack Cavalry
There’s a total of six Snarlpack Riders in this box — it’s two units of 3 each. They aren’t quite as modular as the chariots unfortunately. Regardless, I like these miniatures, too. It’s funny to see two Gitz ont he back of these Snarlfangs. But it makes sense though and really makes them different than previous incarnations. The idea of a pilot and gunner on the back of a mount is a classic one but this mini condenses it down to the back of a large wolf. That really fits the theme!
If you’re looking to jumpstart your own Gitmob army then you’re going to want to snag one of these Army Boxes. It’s a great way to expand an existing Gloomspite Gitz army as well since you get the book, warscrolls, and all of theses miniatures are brand new. That seems like a no-brainer for any Gloomspite players out there.
I wonder how Ben is going to sculpt mushrooms on these guys…
