This is one RPG collab I’ve been excited about for a while. If you don’t know about Epic Encounters: Ruins of Symbaroum you really should. I’ve covered these products and I’m happy to announce they are out this week!

If you’re looking for a dark and cold fantasy world to explore then Davokar is calling. If you don’t know where to start you can pick-up the Core Rulebook for sure. But if you just want to jump right in either of the Epic Encounters are great starts. The Gem in the Barrows is probably the introduction you’re looking for to be honest. It’s got more miniatures as well as a touch more background on the world of Symbaroum.
That said both The Gem and Corrupted Coloss have a great pick-up-and-play feel to them. Both come with booklets to help the DM/GM slot in the encounters to their campaigns — even if you’re not playing in Symbaroum directly.
I really can’t sing the praises of these products enough. If you’re a busy DM/GM and you are looking for something to help with the adventure planning Epic Encounters have the ideas and adventure you’re looking for. The Epic Encounters sets have everything you need to run them in 5e as they are fully compatible for that system. However, if you DO want to start a new campaign set in Symbaroum, there’s PDFs you can download from Steamforged Games to convert these over to the Symbaroum system.
If you’re curious about that system, again, I wrote an entire review of it already so check that out. Anyhow, the point is that these products are out and in stores now. So go check them out for yourself! Heck, even if you don’t end up running the adventures found within the Epic Encounters you still end up with some awesome miniatures in your collection.
