Find Out Everything About Your Friends With ‘Fun Facts’

Fun Facts is a party game with no winner and the only goal of letting you learn more about your friends and have a laugh.
Most game nights have a lot of competitive or pseudo cooperative games. The kind where there’s a non-zero chance that the game will end when somebody flips the board or where players are working together but with that thin overlay of playful faux-animosity there. Fun Facts takes game night in a very different direction. is a party game centered on the concept that players should want to engage with each other and learn more ‘fun facts’ about one another.

Fun Facts
Released by Repos Production games in 2022, Fun Facts is a take on the party game that encourages you to learn more about your friends. It’s a game with a kept score but no winner. Winning isn’t the point, and the only one you could be playing against is the score left by the last group to play Fun Facts…. Even if that group was the same exact people as this group. Instead, it’s more of a gateway to bizarre stories, some good natured laughs, and getting to know people a bit better.

Repos Production is one you’re probably familiar with, and have produced some very well known games over the years. Concept is on my shelf, personally, but you may have also played 7 Wonders, Duel for Middle-Earth, Pixit, Fairy Ring, Ca$h’n Guns, Duel, and many more… As well as the spin-off and expansions of some of these games.
Their games are generally not terribly complex, and designed to be fun games for parties, game nights, or families. And Fun Facts is an especially good example of this with its good natured designed and play-out-of-the-box simple concept.

How to Play
Each round a card with a question is placed at the center of the table. The example on the Repos website is “How long is the perfect nap?” but you can see another example below.
Once the question is played, each player writes their secret answer on one side of a colored arrow and their name on the other, placing the arrow on the table name side up. Once everyone’s answers are written, players take turns moving their arrow in relation to everyone else’s. For example, if a player believes they take the most naps or would give up the fewest years to reach billionaire status, they would move their arrow to the top or bottom of the line.
With everyone’s arrows placed in order, the answers are flipped over and revealed. The numerical answers must be in order from lowest to highest, and each arrow with a number that is out of order is removed. The remaining arrows represent “correct” answers and is good for a victory point for the entire team. After eight questions, the final score is tallied and written on the Record of Legends and put away to try and beat next time.
What are Some More Examples of Fun Facts Questions?
There is an entire deck of questions, but a few examples are:
- How interested are you in living on the first Mars colony for five years including travel (scale of 1 to 100)?
- How many years of your life would you give up to be able to speak every language in the world?
- How many times do you think you can repeat “she sees cheese” without messing up?
- Of the people at the table, how many do you think you could beat at arm wrestling?
- How much do you enjoy making lists (scale of 1 to 100?) – This one is gunna be a 100 for me.

How Long Does Fun Facts Games Take?
The estimate listed on the box is about thirty minutes, and I think that sounds about right. Game rounds are straight forward and quick. Players will probably have some amount of discussion or argument as people will agree or disagree with arrow placements. But in general, none of it should be a lengthy process. That said, the game is meant to encourage discussion, weird stories, and learning more about the people you know and game with. So the thirty minute estimate isn’t accounting for especially lengthy anecdote.
Is Fun Facts Appropriate For Kids?
I think that depends a lot on the kids in question and who else is playing. The suggested age cutoff by Repos Production is 8+ years, and much younger than that may not fully understand the concept of the game. The questions themselves aren’t questionable, but if you’re playing with a group where a seemingly innocent question could spark a wildly out of pocket story from somebody you know, Fun Facts could quickly become less family friendly.
Is This a Strategy Game?
I would say that there’s a strategy component, but I don’t know if I would call this a strategy game. There is a certain amount of strategy in determining where your own answers would rank compared to the other players at the table. But without winners or losers, there isn’t a strategy in outsmarting or outplaying anybody else. And if you get it wrong, well there may just be a story there.
Happy adventuring!
