Games Workshop Pre-Orders: High Elf Weekend

It’s time to head back to Warhammer: The Old World for some High Elf action. Their army is back and up for pre-order.
Games Workshop is bringing back the High Elves with a new batch of pre-orders. Now, there’s quite a few units and products that are Online Only. You’ll have to go check those out on their website directly for those. For the non-online only options, there are links below.
Personally, I’ve always like the look of the High Elves in general. But I never decided to make the jump and start that army. But if I did I’d want to bring a block of Swordmasters for sure. I also liked the chariots they had, too. Most of the “generic” units are still up for pre-order but it looks like they are moving quick. So good luck if you were looking to start this army yourself.

Arcane Journal: High Elf Realms $28
The High Elves march to war from the ten kingdoms of Ulthuan, the mysterious island paradise where their race was birthed, to their colonies and outposts upon the infinite coastlines of distant lands. They have defended this world for millennia, battling hosts of Daemons, worshippers of the Dark Gods, and all who would try to defile and pillage it.
This essential guidebook studies the rich history and background of the various cultures of High Elves, and offers rules to use them in your games of Warhammer: The Old World. When used alongside The Old World – Forces of Fantasy, this book gives you more options and in-depth rules, allowing you to muster a mighty collection of noble warriors, and get the most out of them on the tabletop.
Within this 48-page supplement, you will find:
– Background and lore: A history of the Elves, as well as where they stand in the current age. This includes a map and plenty of examples of faction iconography, colours, and miniatures to inspire your collection.
– Armies of Ulthuan: Rules to field two unique Armies of Infamy – the Sea Guard Garrison and The Chracian Warhost.
– Special Character & Unit Profiles: Background and rules for units and characters, including Korhil Lionmane and Ishaya Vess, Sentinel Of The Silent Isle.
– High Elf Realms Magic Items: Provides the rules for Magic Weapons, Magic Armour, Talismans, Magic Standards, Enchanted Items, and Arcane Items.
This is an expansion to Warhammer: The Old World – you’ll need a copy of Warhammer: The Old World Rulebook and Warhammer: The Old World – Forces of Fantasy books, both available separately, to use the contents of this book.

The champion can be built with his arm raised or with his sword at rest, the standard bearer has a choice of two banners, and the musician can take one of two different horns, making it easy to customise both units.
This kit contains 44 plastic components, and 30x Citadel 25mm Square Bases. These miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints.
High Elf Realms Battalion $185
The High Elf Realms are able to muster some of the finest fighting forces across the World of Legend. Clad in scale armour with gleaming peaked helms and wielding long spears, elegantly curved bows, and tall shields, they are a sight to behold.

It’s ideal if you’re looking to start a new collection or bolster an existing one, and features units offering a good deal of tactical versatility. The Spearmen are a fantastic defensive force, well protected and difficult to shift. The Archers are some of the best you can field, unleashing withering hails of accurate arrows. You’ll also find a pair of chariots, which can be built as either Tiranoc Chariots, or fierce Lion Chariots of Chrace.
This boxed set contains 66 multipart plastic miniatures:

The White Lions of Chrace have served the Phoenix Kings since the time of Caledor the First. A warrior can only join the ranks of the White Lions after displaying considerable valour and skill upon the battlefield. They must then also complete the traditional rite of a Chracian warrior – to hunt and kill a white lion.
This multipart plastic kit builds 20 White Lions of Chrace, tough and hard-hitting elite infantry for your High Elf Realms armies in games of Warhammer: The Old World. They can be assembled as one large unit, or two units of 10 warriors, each with their own optional champion, standard bearer, and musician. The champion has multiple head and arm options to choose from, and the standard bearer has a choice of two different banner toppers, making it easy to customise your units.
This kit contains 204 plastic components, and 20x Citadel 25mm Square Bases. These miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints.
Eagle-claw Bolt Throwers are used for heavy support. Its clever design allows its crews to alternate between different modes of fire – one moment shooting single shots capable of disembowelling a rampaging Giant, the next unleashing clutches of smaller bolts to mow down massed infantry before they reach the High Elf lines.
This multipart plastic kit builds two Eagle-claw Bolt Throwers, each with two crew, for your High Elf Realms armies in games of Warhammer: The Old World. These mighty, yet refined, engines of war are ideal for taking out your enemies from afar, and also come with four Sea Guard crew – two for each artillery piece.
The bolt throwers can be assembled armed with either a single bolt or a volley, and come with an optional spear and case of bolts to use as scenery accessories. The arms and heads are interchangeable across the crew members, making it easy to customise your Sea Guard.
This kit contains 70 plastic components, 2x Citadel 50mm Square Bases, and 4x Citadel 25mm Square Bases. These miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints.
The most aggressive High Elf Lords will ride a Dragon into battle, where few can withstand their onslaught. These mighty and noble creatures hail from Ulthuan, and can be found slumbering in colossal caverns, deep within the Dragon Spine Mountains.
This multipart plastic kit builds a Lord on a Moon or Sun Dragon, who can be used to represent a Prince in High Elf Realms armies in Warhammer: The Old World. Both terrible and graceful, these ferocious creatures are feared by any who would oppose the High Elves, and their riders make ideal generals for larger armies. You can alternatively build the rider as an Archmage on a Moon or Sun Dragon, or a Dragon Mage on a Star Dragon, combining magic and a monster to open up even more tactical options for your force.
The Lord has a choice of two heads, can be armed with a lance, hand weapon, great weapon, or bow, and can be equipped with a shield or horn. The Mage has two head options, and a choice of different magical staffs. The dragon has different cosmetic options for the head, spine, and tail, and there are also optional basing accessories. However you choose to build the kit, you’ll be able to personalise it as you wish.
This kit contains 75 plastic components, and 1x Citadel 60mm by 100mm Rectangular Base. This miniature is supplied unpainted and requires assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints.
