Goatboy’s Grimdark Armylist – Brandon Vallee’s Dark Angels Biker Army of Zoom!
Goatboy here and I want to talk and congratulate a buddy of mine for winning with an outside of box 40K Dark Angels list. Zoom Zoom!
Brandon Vallee is one of my good friends who happened to move out of the states as his excellent wife got a cool job up in Canada. He is a pretty heavy biker player (which I helped paint a lot) and loves those Dark Angels. I am sure you have seen his army with the heavily converted Legion of the Damned army. This is a pretty sweet list to have done well at a nice sized event and it’s a great way to show that there are other Dark Angels armies that don’t use a crap ton of Deathwing Knights.
Here is his list that he took to a first place finish at Geekfest in Shearwater, NS, CA. It was a 57 player event up there and Brandon took the following list.

Dark Angel Zoomies Tactics
Look at that glorious list. There isn’t a Deathwing Knight in there! There is a crap ton of bikes, a few foot dudes, and a nice Helblaster brick to help clear things out. There is so much speed in this list and I just love the crap ton of bikes. Have I told you I painted a lot of them and he even redid more that I didn’t paint? Or the fact Brandon started picking up a paint brush and really doing an awesome job painting these things. But this army is fast, gonna hold things, and punch the crap out of you if it gets there.
