Grimdark Armylist – John Lennon’s Blue Scars – Warzone Atlanta Winner
Goatboy here to show off John Lennon’s winning half blue/half white Space Marines, aka Ultramarines cosplaying as White Scars in the Stormlance Detachment.
Goatboy with some more Marine talk this week. The ever lovely John Lennon took out his half blue/half white Space Marines to the Warzone Atlanta this past weekend. He shows up on Wargames Live stream a few times and as always has shown to be a true force in the game. This time around he is piloting some Ultramarines cosplaying as White Scars in the Stormlance Detachment. He went on to win it and again it is a pretty great army to look at.
As you can see there are a ton of options in this armylist that pushes the Stormlance agenda pretty well. He is running a Storm Raven as a kind of counter punch option that coughs up a Brutalis Dreadnought towards the opponent. That is a model that feels almost there and while I don’t think it can get cheaper I wonder if there is something else to help push it over the edge a tiny bit. Either way the rest of the army is set up to come in, punish the enemy, and score as many points for John during the event.

Blue Scars Tactics
As you can see John is set up to get a lot of CP, have a ton of options to play all over, and score missions like it’s his job. I just bought a Storm Speeder as well and it is making me wonder if I should shift out my idea for a load out based on what he is playing. I just like the sheer amount of stuff that is going to move fast, feel like lightning is hitting you from all over, and just wreck your face. Plus who doesn’t like Roboute telling Calgar what to do?
Again congratulations to John Lennon from “The Art of War” for kicking butt at the Warzone event. I went to it a few years ago and had a blast and it is one the list of things I want to try and go to again if I can find time from the family, work, and other nonsense. Also thanks to Joe from Wargames Live who put on a great show so I could at least feed that competitive weasel that lives inside me and craves to throw dice.
