Horus Heresy: ‘Usarax Cohort’ Are Coming In Plastic

The Mechanicum of the Horus Heresy is getting new plastic Usarax Cohort miniatures in the near future. Here come the shock troops!
The Usarax Cohort aren’t exactly a new unit for the Mechanicum but they are getting a new plastic kit. That’s exciting news and these cyborg Thralls are perfect for your shock assaults. Games Workshop is showing off their new miniatures so let check them out!
Built from a fusion of existing technologies known to the Mechanicum, the Ursarax are the pet project of one Explorator Magos Enabrin Falkan. Notoriously independent, Falkan required a highly mobile combat unit and found his answer by combining the Thallax cohorts of the Ordo Reductor with a number of his own discoveries – and an oversized jump engine.

This new plastic kit will also bring options for your assembly.
“You’ll be able to reinforce your own Taghmata with these close combat monsters in the near future, with a plastic kit which contains six Ursarax with lightning claws, volkite incinerators, and the option to arm two with power fists instead of claws. “
Power fists, lightning claws, and volkite incinerators …oh my! The point is you’ve got options and this unit will certainly bring the pain to the enemy.
These Ursarax are rapid shock troops and their load-outs are designed for getting up close and tearing into the enemy. Send them in once you’ve bombarded the enemy lines from a distance and let them work. What I find really creepy about them is that they still maintain a bit of their old consciousness. They certainly don’t have their humanity still intact…but they have just enough so they can feel their reward for a mission completion.
“Reward for the completion of objectives in battle is the release of neural anaesthesia which provides them with a faint modicum of relief from otherwise endless pain.”
That is both grim and dark. What else did you expect from Warhammer: The Horus Heresy?!
Cyborg murder-bots. What could go wrong?
