Horus Hersey: Angron Acended Revealed

The Daemon Prince Primarch Angron is joining Warhammer: the Horus Heresy Era with a brand new miniature!
Angron Transfigured is coming to the Horus Heresy series next. He’s got a new Daemon Prince powered version coming to the tabletop with massive wings and a very different sculpt that what we’ve seen before.

Angron Transfigured represents the Primarch in the closing months of the Horus Heresy, fully in the grip of the Blood God and ready for his fateful duel with Sanguinius before the Eternity Gate. This monstrous resin miniature is dripping with sharp details from the ragged, battle-worn wings on his back to the many chains and skulls hanging about his person.
Unusually for a Primarch, his weapons hold no names nor special provenance, as Angron cared little for what he killed with – so long as he killed. Known simply as the Blades of the Red Angel, they are nonetheless just as vicious and mutated as their owner.
Angron, The Red Angel
So this is quite a different version of Angron that we’ve seen. He certainly looks like a mix between his previous Horus Heresy era miniature and his 40k version.
Angron, Primarch of the World Eaters
Angron, Daemon Primarch of Khorne
As you can see from the two other versions this new one has elements of both blended into it. His 40k version certainly has more of the Bloodthirster/daemon prince coming through. This new version from the Horus Heresy line has Angron freshly converted into a Daemon Prince.
He’s certainly got that Daemon Prince power infusion in him but he’s still got a lot of his Primarch looks. I know this might not be a popular opinion, but I think his head looks a little small for his body. Maybe it’s just the angle of the image. His wings are also massive. While they are impressive actually playing with this model on the tabletop is going to be tricky. I hope you’re don’t wear any loose-fitting clothing to get snagged on him.
Captain Lotara Sarrin
Also joining the ranks of the World Eaters in the Horus Heresy is Captain Lotara Sarrin. She was the captain of the flagship The Conquerer.
Lotara is everything the Primarch is not – calm, level-headed, and respected by the World Eaters. Her expertise in void warfare earned her the captaincy of The Conqueror and a prominent place among the XII Legion, where both Angron and his equerry Khârn afforded her uncommon respect – largely due to her complete refusal to be cowed by the superhuman killers prowling her ship.
Both of these miniatures are coming in Forge World Resin and will be available soon.
