Everyone likes a cool helmet to display, these are the best one from the Star Wars LEGO lineup.

LEGO Star Wars is a great range that allows you to recreate classic ships, scenes, and other objects from the Star Wars movies. One of the most iconic aspects of Star Wars has got to be the various helmets worn. There are a ton of these, and they’ve often become a kind of shorthand for characters and factions.

Helmets are so iconic that several Star Wars shows use them as intros. They even made a whole show about people who love helmets so much they won’t ever take them off!

But what if you love Star Wars helmets and LEGO? Well the LEGO company has you covered! For a few years now they’ve putting out a line of displayable helmets you can build and stick on a shelf. These are all pretty cool, but today we are going to take a look at the six best LEGO helmet sets from the lineup.

#6 – Storm Trooper LEGO Helmet

For our first LEGO helmet set, we’ve got the classic Imperial Storm Trooper. Now, this is one of the most iconic helmets in all of Star Wars; it’s just really evocative. However, to be honest, I think the LEGO version is just OK.

While it does a good job of getting the look right, it loses a few points for being very stud-y. Yes, you get studs with LEGO, but there are ways of covering them up, and they didn’t do that here. But still, you can’t actually go wrong with such a classic helmet.

#5 – Darth Vader

Next up, we’ve got what might be the most classic and iconic helmet of them all: Darth Vader. If you are a big Star Wars fan, it’s pretty hard to pass this LEGO helmet set up. I think the build does a pretty good job with the face and getting the look right.

However, it’s knocked down some places because it’s very, very stud-y, maybe even more so than the Strom Trooper one. I think this is particularly sad for Vader because the reflection from his helmet is kind of a thing.

#4 – TIE Fighter Pilot LEGO Helmet

I promise this isn’t all Imperial helmets. While the TIE fighter pilot helmet isn’t as iconic as the ones above, it is pretty classic.

I really like that it has a lot of character, from the grimacing face to the life support hoses. This helmet isn’t as bad as in the stud-y area, they’ve worked to cover it up a lot. From the front, you can’t see as many. The Imperial symbols on the top are pretty dang rad, as well.

#3 – Princess Leia / Boushh Helmet

This helmet, from Leia’s Boushh disguises in Return of the Jedi is a pretty radical departure from the ones that came before. This is the LEGO helmet set that really stands out and is quite different, and I love that.

While it won’t fit in very well with a lineup of Imperial helmets, they have made other bounty-hunter ones. I think this build does a great job of recreating the helmet from the movie. It also does a great job of covering up the studs to make look more like a real helmet.

#2 – AT-AT Driver Helmet

The most recent (so recent it’s not out yet!) is the AT-AT Driver Helmet. This is really the most obscure helmet on this list, as you don’t see it all that often. But you know what? I think it’s really cool.

This obviously shares a lot with the Storm Trooper and TIE pilot helmets but has a more interesting color scheme. It also does a lot more to cover up the studs, and I think it shows how the line has evolved. I think it’s the least stud-y of the Imperial helmets and also very visually interesting. The red Imperial logos are also pretty striking.

#1 – Luke Skywalker / Red Five Helmet

Maybe I’m a little biased, but this is really the most iconic Rebel helmet and one of the top ones for fans who started with A New Hope way back when. Luke’s helmet is different and cool and really stands out with its eye catching visor. I think the LEGO version does a great job capturing it. It also manages to avoid the stud problem most of the time and even makes sure the inside is pretty clean-looking. I think it’s a great addition, and it’s my top pick.
