RPG: Sci-Fi, Horror, Fantasy, Donuts – You Can Find It All In This Year’s ZineQuest

ZineQuest is always a good time, and this year is doubly so. Sci-fi intrigue, Space Dogs, and Unspeakable Horrors await.
ZineQuest is one of the best times in tabletop gaming. It happens every February at Kickstarter, when we hearken back to the first real blossoming of tabletop roleplaying games. Zines, fan-made exercises in creativity that could be distributed among friends, rivals, and, in some cases, enemies, were the order of the day.
In these small zines, you’d find creative expressions of roleplaying concepts. New character types to play. New adventures. All sorts of different things – they were outlets for the wellspring of creativity that tabletop roleplaying had unleashed.

Kickstarter’s ZineQuest celebrates that creativity. It is a monthlong cavalcade of different designs. You can browse through the various listings and find something that’s sure to delight even the most seasoned palette. This year’s crop of ZineQuest games has some fantastic entrants, with games that take you to the stars, solo or with friends.
ZineQuest 2025 – Kickstarter Brings The Zines

Here’s what Kickstarter has to say about ZineQuest:
“Zine Quest is our celebration of the DIY spirit behind RPG zines. Each February, we invite creators to craft and launch their own projects. This Open Call spotlights the creativity and innovation of the TTRPG community while giving creators a unique opportunity to reach new backers.”
And true to the name, it is a quest to see what you can find out there. There are so many projects to dig through; you’re bound to find something to fall in love with. You can read on for some of the ones we’re excited by this year or scroll on down to start your own ZineQuest.
