‘Solasta 2’ Set To Bring Even More D&D Vibes To Your PC – Demo Around The Corner

Solasta 2 promises even more expansive D&D adventures coming soon to your desktop with a free demo of the massive sequel.
If you didn’t play Solasta: Crown of the Magister you missed out on some of the crunchiest D&D 5E gameplay out there. It was a classic dungeon crawler released back in 2020, and it remains to this day the most accurate adaptation of the D&D ruleset into a video game.

It was 5E with all its bells and whistles. Opportunity attacks, special reactions, the whole shebang. And grid-based, too, so that you can track squares and drop areas of effect just as you might in a tabletop. Solasta embraced verticality in its sprawling dungeons to offer players the tactical experience you might want out of 5E.
Now, Solasta 2 is poised to expand the game even further. You’ll step into the world of Neokos and take control of a party of four adventurers embarking on a quest to face down a tide of corruption. You can get a taste of how it will play soon enough – a free demo is right around the corner, with a dev live stream kicking things off tomorrow at 11 am CST.
Solasta 2 – Demo Livestream Tomorrow, Preview Today

While the live stream won’t be for another day yet, a new devlog shows off what you can expect in the demo. Starting with a party of four 3rd-level adventurers, just like the demo for Solasta 1. The party consists of Knut, a Dwarven Paladin, Neyra a Human Fighter/Cleric, Jorala, an Elven Sorcerer, and Daisy, a Halfling Rogue.

Each of these characters shows off something new in Solasta 2. In the case of Neyra, the Fighter/Cleric, it’s multiclassing – she is a Fighter/Cleric of the life domain. The other three all showcase Solasta’s custom subclasses; the game is designed in its own world and makes use of the 5E SRD, which means that for subclasses beyond basics like the Life Domain or Champion Fighter, developers Tactical Adventures have had to make their own.

So we get the Paladin Oath of Liberation, the Scavenger Rogue, and the Mana Painter Sorcerer. Each one plays wildly different, and you’ll have a chance to see for yourself when the developers play through the demo as part of a live stream tomorrow!
See you in Solasta 2!
