The ARF Troopers are in the house and we’ve got a look at the new unit coming to Star Wars: Legion. Send in the Clones!

Get ready to storm the shores and the enemy bases with the new ARF Troopers unit coming to Star Wars: Legion. Atomic Mass Games sent us a preview copy and I got to dive into the contents. Let’s take a look inside the box and see what you can expect from this new unit.

ARF Troopers Unit Box

One of the cool things about this new unit box is not only are you getting the new ARF Troopers, you’re also getting the option to add 1 Jedi Guardian to this unit, too. But we’ll get into that a little lower. For now, let’s check out the contents.

Everything you’d expect to find from an Atomic Mass Games product is in this box. You’ve got the flyer with the QR Code that takes you to the build instructions. All of the sprues, cards, and bases are in the own baggies, too. It’s all neatly packaged and organized.

The Sprues are two separate pairs. The larger of the two sprues has the Jedi Guardian plus a few of the special ARF Trooper bits on it. The smaller sprue has the RPS-6 launcher miniature bits as well as other ARF Trooper bits. Above, you can also see the 8 bases you need for this unit.

ARF Troopers On The Tabletop

While I didn’t do a rules deep dive, you can find that directly from AMG. They have a transmission up for the ARF Troopers and their unit that details a lot of what they do. If you notice above, there’s multiple sets of cards, too. That’s because this box supports four different languages and you’ll get a play set for each of those cards.

The unit itself starts with “just” four ARF Troopers. But this squad can have a lot of upgrades added to it. As well as the Jedi Guardian and RPS-6 ARF Trooper, you can also take another upgrade that adds 2 more miniatures to the unit. Once they are fully kitted, this unit is more than capable of tackling multiple threats on the battlefield. Enemy infantry and vehicles will have a tough time dealing with the damage they can dish out!

If you’re looking forward to bringing this squad to the tabletop you’ve still got a bit of a wait. They are scheduled for release on March 14, 2025. They are currently up for pre-order now.
