Star Wars: Legion has a new threat emerging from the sea and we’ve got them unboxed. Here come the Crab Droids!

If you’ve been wanting to get your claws on the Crab Droids your wait is over. They are in stores now and we’ve got our review copy from Atomic Mass Games in the house. What exactly is coming with the LM-432 ‘Crab Droids’ unit expansion? That’s what we’re here to find out.

LM-432 Crab Droids Unboxed

Opening up the box we’ve got all the things you’d expect from an Atomic Mass Games product. The sprues and bases are in their own plastic baggies. All the cards for the unit are also included along with the unit tokens, also in a baggie. There’s the flyer with the QR code that takes you to the assembly page — again, everything you’d expect to see in the box.

As far as the cards go, like the Aqua Droid box that we checked out, the cards all come in the four supported languages. It’s worth noting that because this box has two Crab Droids inside you get double the cards and upgrades to work with.

If you’re looking for a deep dive into the Crab Droid rules we did that already as well. You can check that article out here. They are called Muckrakers for a reason! Coming up from the deep they are tough to destroy and pack a punch to match.

Bring On The Crab Sprues!

As far as the sprues inside go you get two copies of the same sprue. They do stack on top of each other in the box. As far as assembly goes they are pretty straightforward. You’ll want to stick to the instructions on these. Not because they are complicated but because there’s not that many ways to assemble them. If you build them out of order you could be in a bit of a pickle.

As far as customization goes you’ve got the two weapon options to consider. There’s also a little bit of wiggle room with the leg/claw positioning…but that’s if you want to cut off some of the knobs and go rogue. Which you can do…if you’re crabby with the limitations of the build.

The droids are also larger than I was expecting! But these are basically crab-walking tanks…so it makes sense. The Separatists have a tough nut to crack with these Crab Droids joining the fray.
