Star Wars: Shatterpoint – ‘All The Way’ Squad Pack Rules Reveals

Cassian Andor is leading a squad on to the tabletop of Star Wars: Shatterpoint. It’s time for the All The Way Squad Pack previews!
Get ready to send in your rebel spies. Cassian Andor is here to get your dirty work done. It’s never pretty and he’s done some terrible things — but this is rebellion and a fight for survival. This squad is ready to go All The Way.
“Rebellions are built on hope, and the All the Way Squad Pack brings new hope to players with the introduction of Cassian Andor, K-2SO, and a unit of Rebel Pathfinders to Star Wars™: Shatterpoint. This squad pack represents some of the Rebel Alliance’s best intelligence operatives and we’ve escaped with the details, ready to download the plans to your device.”
Captain Cassain Andor
Clocking in with 9Sp and 2 Force tokens, Captain Cassian Andor is leading the charge for this squad. What’s neat about his is that he’s also a “cross-era” character meaning you can take him in either Reign of the Empire and the Age of Rebellion as well.
Being a Primary unit he’s got a signature skill as well. That being Make Ten Men Feel Like A Hundred. This ability really ties in with his others to boost the output of his squad. That boost being an Impact [2] and sharpshooter [2] bonus when Rebel Alliance units activate with a Shatterpoint Card!
Combat-wise he’s got two different tracks. There’s All The Way and Light It Up:
All The Way is the balanced approach between ranged and melee. That said, it’s still a heavy damage output track. Light It Up still can do some good damage but it’s more about messing with the enemy overall.
K-2SO, Outspoken Enforcer
K-2SO costs 5PC to take with your squad. Being a Secondary Unit he’s got some nice complementary abilities for Andor. In particular Lockdown is kind of mean. Opponents cannot remove or replace your Control token from an objective that one or more characters in this Unit are contesting. That’s for as long as K-2SO is unwounded. Once K-2SO does get wounded or is about to go, you can pop Goodbye as a final move. This Defeats K-2SO, but you can spend Momentum on the track to move the Struggle token towards your side.
For a combat stance, K-2SO has Effortless Efficiency:
It’s fairly balanced between ranged and melee but also puts out good damage. While it’s not exactly spike damage you should see stead damage output from this Droid.
Rebel Pathfinders
For 4PC you get to bring the Supporting Unit of Rebel Pathfinders. I’ve mentioned this before in other rules previews but Supporting Units are always tough for me to gauge. They really do win games or do nothing. And it’s typically not the unit’s fault — I blame the player (me). Anyhow, I do think they have some good tricks up their sleeves. Especially pair with a Primary/Secondary that supports Spy units.
They seems like really mean ambushers. That’s reflected most in their Cloak and Dagger ability. If you time it right, with Andor’s signature ability activate, you can have a very mean 9 die attack incoming to a Primary Character. Not only will it do bonus damage but with Impact [2] and sharpshooter [2] it’s going to hurt the target.
Again, these Supporting units are tricky. If you can setup that sort of an ambush on a Primary character they can swing the game for you. But if they just end up out of position or your timing just doesn’t work, then they end up out of the fight or provide minimal impact on the game.
The All The Way Squad Pack is due out April 4, 2025. It’s currently up for pre-orders from Asmodee.
