Goatboy here with the weapons in 40K that do so much damage you won’t believe it! Step back, this is going to be messy.

I went thru my trusty little 40k app and found the top 5 highest damage dealing weapons we have currently in the game in 10th Edition.  I know there is some more damage dealers incoming and I planned on only looking at stuff that comes in plastic and isn’t a “Forge World” exclusive option.  This means some of those Knight stuff needs to stay out of here, along with those pesky little Titans people like to carry around like a toddler.

Honorable Mentions

First let’s do some honorable mentions.  Their damage didn’t hit above the 40 range which is a pretty absurd number to even think about.  Heck if it didn’t hit at least 45 damage it isn’t in this list which is crazy to think about.

Be’lakor and his Blade of Shadows

First  we have the true leader of the Daemons – Be’lakor and his Blade of Shadows that can pump out a whopping 42 damage on 6 attacks which is pretty gnarly.  Again if everything hits and you’re feeling extra lucky.

Imperial Knights & Chaos Knights – Volcano Lance

Next we have the Volcano lance from the Imperial knights & Chaos Knights that can do 42 damage on 3 attacks.  Could you imagine if this was something like 2d3 total attacks which would cause a cascade of murder from this giant robot.

5. Imperial Knights – Canis Rex and his Feedom’s Hand – 45 damage

This guy is coming in with 5 attacks that are a flat damage 9.  Yes I know he has sustained hits so there is a chance you could get all 6’s and go crazy but I wanted to write this out with just max hits, max wounds, and max damage rolled on their basic amount of attacks. Go Imperial Knights!

4. Five-way Tie – 48 damage

  • Astra Miliatrum – Banesword and their Quake Cannon
  • Chaos Daemons – Skarbrand – Slaughter and Carnage
  • Aeldari – Avatar of Khaine – The Wailing Doom
  • Adeptus Sororitas – Exorcist Missile Launcher
  • Shalaxi Helbane – Soulpiercer

The Banesword is a weird one as it can shoot 12 times at a flat 4 damage attack.  This means you have one less batch of rolling perfect without having to roll the damage dice and curse how many 1’s and 2’s you roll.

You can see how Skarbrand has tied with the Astra Miliatrum Banesword but since I am writing this list I put him at 3.  There isn’t a way to get more attacks just as easily with him but you could do more damage with some bonus options within the Khorne Daemon index.

The new updates Aeldari Avatar still does a ton of damage if they get hit ya.  This guy is just a murder stick as he most likely will shoot you with his sword too on the way in.

The Adeptus Sororitas Exorcist could poor a ton of damage out if everything hits and wounds.  It is one of those tanks that always skirts around the field of either being too good or too expensive to be taken.

Finally we got Shalaxi Helbane that is just ready to make everyone made when they get into combat.  You want some rerolls to hit, to wound, and even the damage roll?

3. CSM and Space Marines – Vindicator Demolisher Cannon – 54 damage on 9 attacks

The CSM one could do more damage with a Pact and some luck but this is the total flat damage these little bulldozer tanks can do.  There is a reason this tank has showed up a ton as of late – high rate of fire mixed with a chance at some ludicrous damage potential.

2. Chaos Knights and Imperial Knights – Thermal Cannon within Melta Range – 60 damage on 6 attacks

This one is a bit of a stretch because we are saying we will be getting close enough to shoot it with Melta +4 shots.  I think that seems to be something this giant thing can do and while the Chaos Knight one can have 2 of them the Imperial One gets all kinds of fun benefits on top if it.

1. World Eaters – Angron – Samni’arius & Spinegrinder – 64 damage on 8 attacks (or 72 damage if he charged)

This guy is the current beat stick from the World Eaters army and has so many high damage attacks.  Yes you could just roll your saves and watch the Angron player look like a sad puppy but why would you do that?  Don’t you want the World Eaters player to have fun?  Are you just some kind of meany?

I tried to look at everything that you can purchase from a normal store and not a FW/GW exclusive option.  I know that some of the new Astra Militarum stuff is changing when the book comes out and that is why some of those Demolisher Tanks are not showing up in here.

Is there anything I missed? Remember it needs to hit above 45 points to show up in this list.
