It looks like the new Rumor Engine is getting ready to tie-off some loose ends. Or maybe catch a bug. Time to get a rope.

Welcome to another Tuesday and a brand new Rumor Engine from Games Workshop. This one is weaving quite the tale. What could it mean? It’s time for you to see for yourself and decide.

“After last week’s easy win, you’re probably expecting today’s Rumour Engine to be a real brain-scratcher, and you’d be right. There’s no possible way you can guess what this is.”

Rumor Engine – Get A Rope

So what are we looking at here? Well it’s clearly some sort of rope-thing. Is it a net? Is a rope bridge? Perhaps it’s a massive dreamcatcher? Or it could be none of those things.

Personally, I’m sure what faction would even use this sort of rope. However, I wonder if it’s actually part of a terrain set instead. We’ve seen the Warcry Terrain get some really creative set pieces. Perhaps this rope-weave is part of one of those. It does look really well made so maybe that’s another clue as to what it could be.

I also wonder if perhaps this is part of some new faction terrain coming. We’ve seen GW repurpose some older kits for the upcoming Soulblight Gravelords. They also teased those same kits as faction terrain for the Nighthaunt.

There’s plenty more armies on the way for the Age of Sigmar so it could certainly be related to one of them. I could also see this as rigging for one of the Kharadron Overlord airships.

The catch for that is most of those tend to lean towards metals vs rope. But since Rumor Engine is teasing a new kit I wouldn’t rule out the possibility.

But here’s where I turn things over to you — what do you think this Rumor Engine is teasing? If you’ve got a guess drop us a line in the comments with what you think it is and why.

If it’s a bug net, that’s gotta be for one BIG bug.
