The first chance to get your hands on the new Gundam Assemble Miniatures will be from the Gundam Card Game in July.

When the Gundam Assemble release date was announced as sometime next year I knew it was going to be a long 2025. Personally, I really want to get my hands on these kits just to see them in up close. I want to know how the material feels and how painting them up will turn out. I have a funny feeling I’m not alone.  So I’ve been wondering when I would be able to get my hands on one (or all) of these miniatures. Turns out the first crack at them will be from a different game entirely.

Get it early with the GUNDAM CARD GAME coming out in July 2025!

Naturally, I saw that news and I opened up the page to find out what the heck is going on. I thought Gundam Assemble would be a standalone miniature game. What’s up with this card game?

So, from what little information there is, it looks like some special editions of the card game will come with miniatures included. What’s neat about this is we are also getting a look a the pricing for the first time.

These packs have a date (July 11, 2025) as well as a price ($34.99). These packs are also special starter decks for the Gundam Card Game. Other booster packs for the Gundam Card Game (without the miniatures) are also coming in July. They are priced at $4.99 currently. The non-Gundam Assemble miniature versions of the starter decks start at $11.99 as well. That means the miniatures are marking up the price by roughly $23 — give or take some packaging costs.

The implication is that you’ll get the matching miniature for the starter deck. From what I can also gather, the miniatures are just there for show — they don’t have any actual game play impact for the card game. However, they are the same miniatures from the Gundam Assemble game — just with a different base. There’s also some additional images from the card game page showing off the cards and miniatures:

While I do enjoy a good card game myself, I’m really not looking to get into a new CCG. I did my stint in the CCG world and the constant need to buy more boosters/trade cards pushed me out. That said, I’d be willing to pick-up one or two of these starters to get a look at the miniatures and also try the card game out just for kicks. We’re going to have to wait until some time in 2026 for the actual Gundam Assemble miniatures game. These packs will be a nice first look at these miniatures.

Is it 2026 yet?
