Marvel: Crisis Protocol – 5 X-Men Characters We Hope Get Added To The Tabletop

The X-Men and their associated characters have a deep roster. But here’s a few characters we really hope come to Marvel: Crisis Protocol.
There’s just something about superheroes and supervillains duking it out on the tabletop that’s appealing to me. So when I think of the endless possible character roster of Marvel Characters that could join the tabletop I get both excited and overwhelmed. As long as AMG and Marvel keep approving them, they can literally make any character from the comics (or other media for that matter) show up in game.
For me, when brainstorming through the roster of characters, it helps to have a focus. That’s why I keep going back to a few classics — like the X-Men. I’ve mentioned a couple of these characters before but I still think they deserve to be in the game. But I’m also mentioning a couple that should totally get a sweet miniature, too!
Jubilee
If you’re a fan of the 90’s X-Men then you know why I had to include her on this list. Jubilation Lee can shoot energetic plasmoids from her hands. And I know that was basically introduced to a lot of folks as the clueless audience stand-in, especially in for the X-Men Animated Series. But, over time, she’s matured as a character. Much like Kitty Pryde has become a leader and a mentor in her own right, Jubilee has grown-up a quite a bit, too. Anyhow, I really hope she gets added to MCP so I can run an X-Men ’92 roster.
Armor
Hisako Ichiki, aka Armor, is a mutant with a Psionic Exo-Skeleton. I’ll be honest, I am aware of her from the comics but I’m not too sure about her exploits. The real reason I have added her to this list is simple: Her miniature would be AMAZING.
Atomic Mass Games has already been experimenting with clear plastic for their kits. Arnim Zola is one example. The Apocalypse themed Dark Future Terrain Pack is another example. Now imagine an entire miniature inside the plastic shell for Armor. That would be such a cool project to hobby up!
Onslaught
Onslaught brought the Marvel Comics Universe to it’s knees. He the manifestation of what could happen if Professor X and Magneto ever decided to go all out. He’s kind of busted in the most comic-booky way possible. But what else would you expect from the sentient psionic manifestation of the subconsciousness of Professor X and Magneto?
Look, power scaling problems aside, I think this character would also make for an amazing miniature. I’d probably put him on par with super villain Apocalypse in terms of size. I could also see him being the size of say a Sentinel…but that’s up to AMG. It took the combined might of most of the heroes in Marvel to “stop” him. And even then, the Onslaught saga basically caused a reset anyhow.
Marrow
Sarah Rushman, aka Marrow, is a mutant with the ability to basically control her bones to grow. While that doesn’t sound great on paper, she can her abilities to form weapons and armor out of those bones. Combined with a healing factor, superhuman strength, stamina, agility, and reflexes she’s actually a very capable combatant. Personally, I think her miniature would be another fantastic one as the sculpt could go either way. Marrow could be more subdued looking or the miniature could get crazy with the protruding bones. Either way, Marrow would be a neat addition to MCP.
Goblin Queen
Look, we’re getting Jean Grey as the Phoenix/Phoenix Unleashed later this year. I say we need to have her clone Madelyne Pryor, aka the Goblin Queen, added, too! She could run with Mister Sinister, make Cyclops very confused, and also give Cable some mommy issues while she’s at it. An evil/different version of Jean Grey would be a pretty cool addition to the tabletop for Marvel: Crisis Protocol.
What other X-Men related characters would you add to Marvel: Crisis Protocol?
