If you’re looking to try out the Midnight Sons Affiliation but don’t know where to start then the new box is perfect for you.

Atomic Mass Games has been crushing it with the new Affiliation Packs lately. The Midnight Sons are next up to get a new boxed set that a perfect entry point for the Affiliation. It’s got all the key elements to get you on the tabletop with this crew. Plus, you’ve got some wiggle room to expand as well.

While these heroes aren’t new, the pack does include their updated cards with new artwork. So if you missed them the first time around these are the versions you’d want to use anyhow. Let’s check them out really quick.

Midnight Sons Affiliation Pack

Kicking things off is Blade. He’s sort of a key part of the entire Affiliation as he’s got one of the two current leadership abilities for them. Bump in the Night is a potent movement tool and with Blade as your leader, you’ll find a good use for it!

Doctor Voodoo has an updated card with the changes that were added from the Ministravaganza 2023. Plus, he’s got some new art which is pretty cool. In terms of use on the tabletop, he’s honestly a bit of a mixed bag. His mystic attacks can be very useful in certain match-ups but he’s also squishy if you don’t know how to use the Spirit of Brother Daniel effectively. That said, he’s got an interesting kit for a 4 threat character.

Ghost Rider’s last updated card was from 2021. Now this version has new art and all the updates applied, too. As a heavy hitter Ghost Rider clocks in at a 5 threat for good reason. He’s got good mobility (even better with Blade’s Bump in the Night), good immunities and defenses, and his Penance Stare can quite literally win you games.

Finally, we have Moon Knight. While his rules haven’t needed an update since his launch this card does update the format and artwork. Personally, I think he’s one of the underrated Threat Level 3s in the game. I get that the Multiple Personalities can be annoying when you don’t get a benefit…but when it kicks in, it’s a useful boost. I also think that Chosen of Khonshu is great for causing problems for your opponent when it comes the objective game.

It’s Time To Bump Back

This new Affiliation Pack also includes the Team Tactic Cards you’ll want to bring with these characters. Many of them have also gotten update art, too. If you’re looking to play the Midnight Sons and you don’t have these characters already then this is a fantastic starting point. It’s a total of 16 threat worth of characters and each of them is very playable in their Affiliation. You’ve also got some easy upgrades with the new Elsa Bloodstone/Man-Thing box. Or Snagging Immortal Hulk. Or even getting the Monsters Unleashed Pack, too!
