RPG: ‘Fabula Ultima’s New Natural Fantasy Atlas Expansion Feels Like Secret Of Mana Meets Stardew Valley

A new expansion for Fabula Ultima, Natural Fantasy Atlas, unleashes natural locations, new mechanics, and cozy new classes.
Fabula Ultima is quickly becoming a fan favorite in the RPG world. It knows its audience, knows what it’s trying to do, and executes with style and flair. Case in point, the new Natural Fantasy Atlas, an expansion that delivers to fans of the”TTJRPG” the kinds of mechanics you’d dream of.
Cozy crafting. Camp activities. Rules for customizing and forging your own weapon capable of killing the gods and breaking the cycle of tragedy repeated throughout history so that you can finally face a new dawn, rising rife with possibility.
And there are new classes to play around with that include options like Floralist and Gourmet. Like I said in the title, it gives Stardew meets Secret of Mana vibes in spades. Which makes it extremely appealing to the right kind of weirdo. Like me.
Fabula Ultima – Natural Fantasy Atlas
In this massive new expansion, you’ll get a lot more nature and wilderness themed options. There’s all the art you might expect, as well as four new classes and rules for crafting and forging and doing things at camp. It’s the downtime and wilderness adventures expansion. But don’t let that fool you into thinking you know exactly what the book is going to be because just when you’re like, “Oh every game’s getting cozy these days,” it hits you with this:
“The NATURAL FANTASY ATLAS for FABULA ULTIMA will bring you into worlds deeply permeated by the cycles of time and nature, where young heroes face the consequences of past mistakes and demonstrate that history does not have to repeat itself, creating a brave future of coexistence, much like in classic JRPGs!”
That’s that good “…of Mana” storyline. And with new bosses and lots more locations to play with, you could run a whole wilderness-type game where you play Guardians of the Wilds or whatever. There’s a lot to love about this 208-page expansion.
Some of that includes:
- Dive into a new JRPG subgenre based upon harmony and change with 4 new Classes (Floralist, Gourmet, Invoker, and Merchant) and new Heroic Skills to create even more new combinations!
- 10 natural fantasy locations: archetypal settings with tips and hints for playing an intense natural fantasy campaign or which you can use as inspiration to breathe life into your world.
- Craft equipment and tools with any materials you gather using the rules for custom weapons and forging.
- Introduce Quirks, optional rules that add even more depth to your characters, and take a break to share a convivial moment with the camp activities.
- 5 Villains, challenging new bosses of increasing power to use in your adventures, providing your Players with tougher and more exciting challenges.
- 208 full-color pages, featuring manga and chibi-style illustrations from international artists.
Natural fantasy – as opposed to Darth Plagueis the Wise, a fantasy some might consider… unnatural
