This massive LEGO Assassin’s Creed diorama builds Venice with thousands of pieces and includes some sneaky bois.

Venice, ah Venice. One of the world’s great cities and cultural icons, Venice is a real-life city in Italy. It’s one of the most places in the world and is beloved by locals and tourists. The city has a long and storied history and was once a great power worldwide. It’s also famous for its back-ally deals and duels.

All of that made it a perfect setting for the Assassin’s Creed games, with Assassin’s Creed II taking you to the city. The game is set in a number of famous Italian cities during the Renaissance, including the floating city of Venice.

Assassin’s Creed Goes to LEGO Venice

The master builders over at Barthezz Brick have brought to life a version of Venice inspired by Assassin’s Creed, set in 1486. This massive build has over 250,000 pieces and took 3 years and 3000 hours to build. It’s a sprawling build showcasing a slice of the city that is full of life and action.

This build is packed with plenty of details. You’ve got a central cluster of loving detailed houses built around a small canal. From there, you’ve got bridges springing off to other islands dotted with squares and towers that are perfect for an assassin to perch on. Water is, of course, central to Venice, so larger canals and the lagoon surround the whole building.

All of this is packed with details. Boats of various sizes ply the waves. Minifig citizens throng the streets. Assassins watch from the roofs, and birds soar. It’s a city that feels alive and bustling. The details here are amazing.

A Closer Look

Creators Barthezz Brick take us on a tour of the massive build.

Here are a few of the super cool details in this LEGO Assassin’s Creed build that I really like.

LEGO Trevi Fountain

Sadly you can’t just go buy your own Venice set from LEGO, but you can head south and build Rome’s famous Trevi Fountain. The large fountain covered with statues is fed by the Acqua Vergine, which is featured in Assasin’s Creed: Brotherhood.

This LEGO set has updated building techniques that create a challenge while creating authentic details. The iconic statues of Oceanus in his shell chariot and Abundance and Health in minifigure form stand in front of the facade of the Palazzo Poli. Also featured are hippocampi and Tritons in the water and the small Lovers’ Fountain off to the side. A nameplate completes a spectacular display model.
