‘Assorted Notes from the Unearthly Archive,’ ‘Into the Unknown,’ and Cyberpunk backgrounds are all in this week’s 5E compatible RPG Roundup.

It’s time to roll the dice on new releases! Come check out this week’s batch of brand-new 5E compatible tabletop role-playing games.

Rats in the Walls

One perk of living in the flying giant-city of Nebhis: No one notices when you slip through the cracks. As scarred, storied, or seasoned as you may be, in this city, you’re no more than a rodent scurrying underfoot of the hulking aristocrats who stride these halls. Some nights, the rats bite at the heels of those towering above. Tonight is one of those nights: The Khaj-Nisut, grand celebration of the Air Empress’ coronation, illuminates the air with excitement. But you’re not planning on attending her party. You have a prior engagement with her treasures.

Cyberpunk Backgrounds for 5E

In a world of towering megacities, corporate overlords, and digital shadows, every character has a story—a past that shaped them long before they became who they are today. The backgrounds in this supplement provide a foundation for characters living in a cyberpunk world, helping players define their history, skills, and connections before they step onto the streets.

Assorted Notes from the Unearthly Archive

Adventuring archivists of the Unearthly Archive scour the myriad realms, seeking tales of valor and infamy. Peruse this collection of their notes concerning new player options compatible with Dungeons & Dragons, 5th edition.

Gun Mage Wizards extend their magic using mystic firearms. Oath of the Harvest Paladins cultivate gardens and prepare for harsh winters. Monks follow the Way of the Displaced as it meanders through time and space. Barbarians on the Path of the Wrathful Specter walk through walls, disappear, and fly. Splinter Rogues split their mind in twain and gain psionic powers.

Plus new items, spells, and NPCs to help flesh out any world.

D100 Dungeons

Are you tired of the same old boring dungeon ideas you’ve used time and time again?

Well, we’ve all been there: YOU need a dungeon!

… So how about ONE HUNDRED of them?

Whether it’s a quick dungeon for a one-off session you were unprepared for (relatable), on a break in between major storylines, or just another mini-dungeon in part of a larger dungeon/scenario, D100 DUNGEONS offers 100 unique locations for YOUR campaign! These dungeons can be rolled randomly with a d100, or selected by your campaign’s current biome by rolling on a seperate table: You are always free to create your own adventure!

Each dungeon comes complete with a full description and storyline; enticing adventure hooks to guide your players to the location; a combat, puzzle, or skill challenge encounter; suggested monsters/enemies of scalable CRs; and more! Some dungeons will even feature unique mechanics (like skill checks to climb the back of a colossal monster!) or mini-games (like playing a bizarre card game with a village of goblins!), making them a completely unique one-off experience for your game!

Into the Unknown

In a world fractured by nightmare and shadow, adventurers find themselves awakening in The Shattered Veil, a demiplane where reality bends and memories unravel. This surreal and ever-shifting realm is ruled by The Sleeper in the Veil, an ancient and enigmatic entity whose will shapes the lands. Legends claim the Sleeper holds dominion over dreams and nightmares, but whispers hint at a deeper, more horrifying truth hidden within the Veil.

The Shattered Veil is a land of disjointed regions, each plagued by unique horrors. The journey through this fragmented world will force them to confront not only the horrors of the Veil but also their own memories, fears and questions about what is real. At the heart of the nightmare lies the Spire of Dying Stars, the Sleeper’s sanctum and the anchor of this broken reality. Here, the adventurers will uncover the ultimate truth about the Sleeper and face a climactic battle that will determine whether they can escape the Veil or become its next victims.
