The Rejects of Hive Tertium are about to get some reinforcements in the form of a new Darktide splatbook for Wrath & Glory, up for pre-order.

The world of Warhammer 40K might be grim and full of darkness. But it also crosses in on itself, like a particularly Tzeentchian patch of the Empyrean. And sometimes that benefits us all in a big way. Like right now, for instance, if you love Warhammer 40K: Darktide or Warhammer 40K: Wrath & Glory. Because soon you’ll be able to mash the two together.

Wrath & Glory is getting a Darktide expansion, is what I’m trying to say. And it’s exciting to see the story of Darktide get explored a little more. It’s one of my favorite corners of the world of 40K right now. The story of the handlers and the generalized efforts of the collective players, represented as “the fireteam” is surprisingly deep—full of more turns than you might expect.

So with an expansion book opening up Tertium Hive and more of the world of Atoma Prime, Wrath & Glory players and Darktide fans have a lot to look forward to!

Warhammer 40K: Wrath & Glory – Darktide Extraction, Coming Later This Year

This 112 page book is set up like a set of fireteam missions for Darktide. Over the course ofa five-part campaign, players will descend into the depths of a lost section of Hive Tertium in search of glory. But they’ll need to bring plenty of wrath? Presumably for fighting the enemies of the Imperium:

“Explore the setting of Warhammer 40,000: Darktide as Inquisitor Grendyl dispatches you to the Snakestack, a lost region of Hive Tertium, to retrieve a lost archeotech cogitator. The ventilation systems of the Snakestack breathe life into Tertium, but the depths of the hive are packed with traitor forces of the Moebian 6th, cultists pledged to the plague god Nurgle, and strange lost sects of the Mechanicus.”

In addition to the campaign, the book fleshes out some of the darkened corners of Darktide’s setting. There’s a community known as The Slung, which is a ramshackle community that hangs on a massive cargo elevator. And you’ll get to meet its denizens.

There’s also a section on the Hive and its history, as well as guidelines for creating Hive Encounters. Which, often as not, means fighting the Moebian 6th. But that’s what you signed up for. You can find all this later this year when the book releases, or you can pre-order now and get a PDF copy to start playing with today!

The more Darktide, the better!
