Games Workshop has released the Spring Battlescroll for Age of Sigmar. Points have been updated along with some minor rules tweaks, too!

The new Battlescroll for Age of Sigmar is out now and that means new points updates and rules tweaks for you. You can find the Battle Profile Points here while the core rules updates can be found here. Games Workshop also had some commentary about the changes which we’ll tackle as well.

via Warhammer Community

“There have been some dramatic shifts in the overall meta since the previous Battlescroll and the most recent Battletomes, so we’ve made points adjustments and regiment option tweaks to several factions to encourage flexibility in your army building.”

Battlescroll Change Commentary

On a really high-level, there’s just been a lot of points tweaks across the board. A few armies in particular were called out specifically by GW in their comments:

“Key units have had points increased in some armies, including the likes of Be’lakor, Chaos Chosen and Varanguard in the Slaves to Darkness, and Morbheg Knights and Ushoran for the Flesh-eater Courts. “

If you were running any of those units you’re army shifted around in points for sure. There have also been quite a few cuts to points in armies to encourage more diverse army list building options. I highly encourage you to double check your army’s respective section. There’s bound to be some points changes (even minor ones) waiting for you. Even if you didn’t get any points drops, there’s likely some 0-1 unit adjustments happening, too.

On top of those changes many of the Regiments of Renown have also had their points tweaked. So be sure to check those if you were running those in your army.

Rules-wise, there have also been some updates to a few abilities. Here’s the summary from GW:

“The Vanguard Chamber passive ability found on a number of Stormcast Eternals has been altered to a Once Per Turn (Army) Hero Phase ability. The Flesh-eater Courts’ Battle Trait Raise the Banners has been toned down, alongside the Slaves to Darkness’ Pledged to Slaanesh banner. “

Additionally, many questions about the Gloomspite Gitz submitted by the community have been tackled in the FAQ section. Reaction timing has also been addressed based on community feedback, too.

This isn’t quite as massive as the updates slated for the Summer and Winter there’s still plenty to chew on. If you’re playing Age of Sigmar you’re going to want to check your army’s respective sections at minimum. There’s changes to be found!
