Horus Heresy: New FAQ Out Now For Legions Imperialis
Games Workshop has released the first major FAQ for Legions Imperialis. Time to learn what’s changing in this EPIC game.
Alright Legions Imperialis Players this one’s for you! The FAQ has quite a bit of ground to cover and I highly recommend you get ready to read it! We’re going to hit some highlights so let’s get started.
“We’ve identified a number of small changes we wanted to make to the game. As such, some of the errata in this document are actually small balance updates, targeted at specific rules to prevent unintended interactions or adjust how certain Detachments are utilised on the battlefield…”
As you can see above there are actually five new documents to download as updates for Legions Imperialis so this is exciting times for those players. But for now, let’s dive a little deeper into the FAQ.
Legions Imperialis April 2025 FAQ
There’s four pages of FAQ updates to check out. We’re not going to hit everyone but here’s a few that GW called out specifically:
“We particularly wanted to encourage more use of Transports. As such we have adjusted the March Order so Infantry no longer outpace their Transport vehicles. We also adjusted the Master Tactician special rule, so it no longer circumvents restrictions on which Orders can be issued to Detachments that are embarked on certain Transports.”
If you also thought it was odd that Infantry could out pace the transports, well, you weren’t alone. Games Workshop though that was a little backwards too and adjusted March Order to compensate. Now it might actually be worth using transports for shuffling your Infantry across the board.
“A number of these help to address timings of effects or order of operations, such as in what order the Infiltrate and Forward Deployment special rules are used, while others clarify some unusual interactions that can occur during a battle, such as how certain rules and Detachments work with Structures and any Detachments that might be Garrisoning them. “
