Kings of War: Champions is coming soon from Mantic Games. It’s a new game set in the same world as Kings of War. While the miniatures are the same scale the battles are smaller in size. If you’re curious about how the game will work we’ve got some good news because there’s a video series from Mantic breaking it down.

The basics of Kings of War: Champions are that it’s a rank-and-file miniatures war game. If you’ve played Kings of War picking this one up should be a breeze. But even if you haven’t, it’s designed to be a smaller and engaging game on it’s own. It’s looking like a great way to get new players into not only Kings of War: Champions but also into Tabletop Wargaming in general.
There’s a 2-player starter set coming out when the game launches here in April. Shipping is slated for April 14th and hopefully it will be in stores by the April 26th! We’ll be keeping an eye on this one.
