We’ve got a rules preview for Star Wars: Legion. This time it’s Padawan Commander Ahsoka Tano in the spotlight.

Ahsoka Tano was a Padawan when the Clone Wars kicked off. But she eventually became a Commander in the 501st Legion. She might have started off as a brash kid with impressive skills. But she eventually became a veteran commander and a real beacon of hope. She was so inspiring to the clones of the 332nd Company of the 501st Legion that they repainted their armor to match her unique facial markings. Now, we’re getting a look at her stats for Star Wars: Legion. Let’s see how she stacks up.

“Although she is only a Padawan, Ahsoka Tano is still regarded as an effective leader during the Clone Wars. She holds the Rank of Commander, allowing her to fill a required role when building your list. For 110 points, Ahsoka has 5 Health and 2 Courage. She is an Associate of Anakin Skywalker, which means she won’t take up a Commander slot during list building.”

Ahsoka Tano Padawan Commander

As a Commander, Ashoka Tano can fill a variety of roles. For starters, she’s got Force, Command, and Training slot options for upgrades. That can really open doors depending on how you want to kit her out. But stat-wise, as you can see from her abilities above, she’s kind of loaded. She’s one of the faster characters thanks to Scout 1 and Jump 2. There’s few places that she can’t get to on the battlefield.

Defensively, she’s got a ton of tools in her toolbox to help keep her alive. With things like Immune: Pierce, Deflect, Independent: Recover and Shien Mastery she’s going to be sticking around and helping allies out. And then there’s her offensive capabilities with her lightsabers. Impact 2, Pierce 1, on 3 white and 5 black dice means she’s going to be able to cut down squads.

If her stat-cards weren’t impressive enough, she’s also got her Command Cards that you can add to the mix. You can see them above. She’s got a good mix of ways to aide in battle but when she needs to dive into combat You Are Beaten is downright deadly.

Ahsoka Tano, Unit Upgrade

“Ahsoka can affect the battlefield in new and unique ways in your games of Star WarsTM: Legion. As an Upgrade Card, Ahsoka can be added for the cost of 35 points. As a natural embodiment of Jedi leadership amongst the common troopers, Ahsoka is a Leader for any unit she joins.”

If the 110 points was too expensive for your lists but you still wanted to bring Ashoka to the tabetop, she’s got a unique Upgrade Card for Clone Troopers. Personally, I think this is a neat way to add her to the game as a Unit Upgrade. She becomes the Leader and obviously adds some depth to that unit of clones, too.

Ashoka Tano is currently up for Pre-Order. Her release date is slated for May 16, 2025.

Star Wars: Legion – Commander & Padawan Ahsoka Tano $29.99

SWQ22 brings the long awaited Commander Ahsoka Tano and Padawan Ahsoka Tano to the battlefield of Star Wars™: Legion. From the Clone Wars Animated Series, Ahsoka grew to become a fan-favorite and battle hardened leader of the 501st Legion.

This Character Expansion is an exciting release which brings a variety of new rules, army options, and strategy to Star Wars: Legion. For Galactic Republic players, this will work well with their existing armies and miniature options.

Anyone else think that the Jedi sending in children to fight in war is a little messed up?
