The ‘ALIEN’ RPG 2E Kickstarter Hits $2 Million Ahead of Final 48 Hours

The ALIEN RPG 2nd Edition Kickstarter is coming to an explosive finish, shooting past the $2 million mark with 48 hours to go.
Free League’s ALIEN RPG 2E Kickstarter has been a resounding success. Even the most entrenchedm small-minded middle managers at Weyland-Yutani would have to acknowledge how stand up a job this Kickstarter has done.
At press time, the ALIEN RPG 2nd Edition and Rapture Protocol Kickstarter has raised more than $2 million as it heads into its final 48 hours. And that’s usually when things start to get a little more wild as people jump in to secure exclusives, stretch goals, and more.
ALIEN RPG 2E Kickstarter Eyes $2.5 Million in Final 48 Hours
I think a big part of what makes the ALIEN RPG and, by extension, its 2nd Edition Kickstarter, so successful is its ability to dig into the themes of ALIEN. Especially in the cinematic play mode—which I’d describe almost more like a parlour LARP. But you get the intrigue, you get the horror.
And in the Kickstarter you get updated rules that integrate all the improvements fans and developers have made to the RPG over the last few years. Along with miniatures.
And, honestly, the miniatures alone would probably be enough. But you also get a set of rules for solo play, so you can be the last survivor—you could even theoretically start out playing normally, then switch to solo mode when you get down to one last person struggling desperately against the Xenomorph threat you’ve stumbled into this time.
At any rate, the Kickstarter runs for a little less than 48 hours now, so this is your last chance to back while you still can!
Now to go file those official expense reports—spending more and more each year on android milk!
