It’s time to bust out the napkin, flip it over, and do some quick math as breakdown the pricing for the upcoming Combat Patrols.

Both the World Eaters and Death Guard are getting new Combat Patrols for Warhammer 40,000. They’re also getting new Battleforces (which DO look nice) but I’m not sure what the prices are going to be for those. In fact, I’m not 100% sure what the pricing of these Combat Patrols will be so we’re going to assume they are $170 — like the new Aeldari and Astra Militarum are. With that assumption in mind, let’s get to mathin’!

Death Guard Combat Patrol

Contents:

Lord of Virulence = $42

Tallyman = $35

3x Deathshroud Terminators = $62.50

7x Plague Marines = $60

Chaos Rhino = $60

Total Individual MSRP: $259.50

Total Savings = $89.50

Again, assuming a price point matching other Combat Patrols at $170 this is a solid deal. You’re basically getting the Plague Marines and the Tallyman off in discounts. Not too bad! I probably wouldn’t recommend two of these kits however. But the Battleforce in addition to the Combat Patrol is a great way to grow a new Death Guard army for sure.

Daemon Prince = $84

Master of Executions = $35

10x Khorne Berzerkers = $65

10x Jackals = $58

Total Individual MSRP: $242

Total Savings: $72

While this one doesn’t have quite the discount as the Death Guard Combat Patrol I still think it’s a solid deal. It’s also the only way to get more Khorne Berzerkers (at this time from GW’s website). It’s almost like they pulled the stock to rebox them in a new box or something. Anyhow, all the stuff in this box is pretty useful for World Eaters. And again, it pairs nicely with the upcoming Battleforce box, too.

In fact, if you need some army list examples, GW has you covered there, too. It’s not exactly 1:1 but there’s lots of overlap between these offerings and the lists from GW. If you’re one of the folks that trade savvy you could probably get a couple Combat Patrols and trade the Daemon Prince for some of the extras you’re missing for the recommended Goretrack Onslaught. Again, it’s not a perfect 1:1 but two boxes would get you started for sure.

These Combat Patrols and more are coming to pre-order this weekend!
