Geekery: Latest from the Dr. Strange Set
Doctor Strange, Baron Mordo, and band of bad guys were spotted running around NYC…
The next movie in Marvel’s Phase 3 run stars Benedict Cumberbatch as surgeon-turned-magician Stephen Vincent Strange. Chiwetal Ejiofor is Baron Mordo, and Mads Mikkelsen is an unnamed villain who may or may not be related to Dormammu. The cast also includes Tilda Swinton, Rachel McAdams, and Benedict Wong. Director Scott Derrickson and the gang have been shooting in New York City over the last several weeks – they even green screened an entire building that’s standing in for Sanctum Sanctorum.
Principal photography wrapped for the movie with one last chase scene through the flatiron district…

And after filming Doctor Strange decided to drop in at JHU Comics to pick up a few things…
Doctor Strange is due out November 4th – I think most comic fans are in, but we will see if Mr. Cumberbatch can pull in the general audience crowds for a movie focused on characters they may not know.
