X-Wing: Worlds Results & The Top Lists
Star Wars: X-Wing World’s wrapped up this weekend – come take a look at the Top Lists & the Results from the event!
Before we get started, let me just say thanks to all the folks that spent their weekend documenting the event. There were a ton of folks streaming, tweeting, reporting and covering this event. I checked the FFG Forum quite frequently for updates and there are too many folks to name – But if you spend any time in the threads you’ll know exactly who they are.
Okay – with that out of the way, on to the lists!

Those are some pretty crazy lists for the Top 16. Now, I won’t get into each and every lists but I do want to highlight the top two lists that made it to the championship game:
Nand Torfs’ “Dengaroo” List:
Dengar – JumpMaster 5000 – 54 points
- Lone Wolf
- Zuckuss
- Overclocked R4
- Glitterstim
- Punishing One Title
- Counter-Measures
Manaroo – JumpMaster 5000 – 43 points
- Push the Limit
- Seismeic Torpedo
- “Gonk”
- R5–P8
- Feedback Array
- Engine Upgrade
Total: 97/100
VS
Kevin Leintz’s Corran + Miranda List:
Corran Horn – E-Wing – 48 points
- R2-D2
- Fire-Control System
- Push the Limit
- Engine Upgrade
Miranda Doni – K-Wing – 52 points
- Twin Laser Turret
- Extra Munitions
- Homing Missiles
- Sabine Wren
- Ion Bombs
- Conner Net
- Advanced SLAM
Total: 100/100
Now, judging by this match-up the folks were surprised both of these lists made it to the final – although the folks watching the livecasts weren’t. Both of these pilots flew with some very impressive skills it’s plain to see that they were able to take these lists and really push them to their extremes.
Before we get into who actually won the match let’s talk about how these two lists work really quick.
“Dengaroo”
Dengaroo is a popular list – it’s not rare to see them (Dengar and Manaroo) paired up. Dengar does a lot of the heavy lifting with his super deadly ability to fire back as the defender. Couple that with ample ways to get focus (and stress – which doesn’t stop him from using his abilities) and he’s kicking out some serious damage.
Don’t think that Manaroo is a push over however. With “Gonk” riding with shotgun it’s one tough ship to bring down. Plus R5-P8 and the Feedback array it’s causing damage that can’t be evaded. Not to mention Manaroo’s ability to dump all those tokens over to a buddy. It really puts the opposing player in a tough spot.
Zuckuss (Crew) is probably the MVP (and there were lots of complaints about him all weekend), but you can’t ignore the player’s skill when it comes to utilizing the card to the best effect.
“Corran + Miranda”
Corran Horn is an old favorite for a lot of Rebel Players. Many of them were stoked to see the “overcosted E-wing” show up in the top #16, much less make it to the championship game. However, it’s not a big secret why Corran Horn is so dangerous. The E-Wing has a fast dial, he’s got tons of maneuvers and R2-D2 helps to get that regen going. Couple that with a deadly alpha strike (shooting twice on the same turn, each with Target Locks) and he’s a threat to the hardiest ships.
However, the big surprise for a lot of folks was Miranda Doni in a K-Wing. But she is one tough bird to bring down herself. Her ability makes for an interesting mix of offense or defense when you need it plus she offers up some sneaky utility with the Ion Bombs and Conner Nets. I also applaud the use of Sabine Wren in the list to generate some extra damage with those bombs.
Oh and if you think this list was boring to watch because it’s “just a rebel regen list” well, you probably missed some very skillful Kill-shots with Homing Missiles from Miranda!
Now for those of you who don’t want to get the final results spoiled, stop reading now.

Still here? Okay!
Well in the end Nand Torfs pulled ahead with a devastating volley that ended Corran Horn and pretty much sealed the deal. It also looked like Kevin was feeling the effects of playing X-Wing for 3 days straight (player fatigue is a real thing) and unfortunately for him it ended in defeat. That said, both players flew with some great skill and impressive stamina all weekend – neither one of them has anything to be ashamed of from what I caught of the matches.
So Congratulations to Nand Torfs for the win at Worlds!
