GW: Blood Bowl Upcoming Team Teasers
Games Workshop has a few hints for the future of Blood Bowl beyond the first season – Are more teams on the way?
The short answer is “yes” – but do we have proof? Well lets look at the evidence:

Blood Bowl Death Zone Season One
Aside from the fact that the book is “Season One!” (implying that there are more seasons to follow) we also have this info from the description:
Details for 7 team types (Skaven, Nurgle, Dwarf, Elven Union, High Elf, Dark Elf and Wood Elf) with background, rosters and famous examples of each;
Star Players! Eldril Sidewinder, Griff Oberwald, Grim Ironjaw, Guffle Pusmaw, Hakflem Skuttlespike, Jordell Freshbreeze, Mighty Zug, Morg ‘n’ Thorg, Prince Moranion, Roxanna Darknail and Varag Ghoul-Chewer – they’re a in there;
official reference guides for each of the 7 team types in the book.
Of course we new the Skaven were on the way as the third team. The Skavenblight Scramblers are already on back-order from GW’s site if that’s any indication as to their popularity…
Some Eagle-Eyed folks have also been perusing the artwork as well and have noticed this picture:
That’s a Dark Elf player AND a Goblin. That shouldn’t suprise anyone either – heck there are 3 Elf teams listed above. And lets not forget about the Dwarf Teams we saw too:

So it’s just a matter of time before the Dwarf team comes rumbling out of the gate too. Now, here’s the last bit I wanted to show off direct from the Blood Bowl Page:

That looks like 8 teams worth of races right there. Not to mention a Beastman, Lizardman, Wood Elf and a different uniform for a Goblin…
Now, until I see some official GW pictures of the other team (Lizardmen, Beastmen, Elves and Goblins) I’m trying to stay measured about my response. However, there is a part of me that is thrilled at the thought of all of these teams coming to the game – and it’s not even officially out yet!
I’m really hoping that Games Workshop produces these Blood Bowl teams at a good rate. The Orcs and Humans in the box are a great start, so are the Skaven. But if we’re being honest 3 teams does not make a league! There are only so many games I can play with my friends were we have the exact same lineups before we start getting bored.
My fingers are crossed that GW cranks out these other teams sooner rather than later so players don’t lose steam. I know this is only the first season and I know they have a plan (it’s kind of obvious at this point) – I just hope it doesn’t take forever to implement. I’d hate to see Blood Bowl fall of the map before it even gets it’s footing in the larger scene.
