GW’s Warhammer Underworlds: Shadespire, has a new poster and more details on the way.

“A Fast-Paced Game of Tactical Arena Combat (Core Set)”

Games Workshop has a new poster to go along with the previous quick tease for a brand new game set in the mortal realms during the Age of Sigmar.

Shadespire sounds like Games Workshop is branching out even further into board games utilizing their mini ranges.. This isn’t a Warhammer Age of Sigmar game, it’s part of a new line titled “Warhammer Underworlds” and it’s “designed specifically for competitive, organised(sic) play” from day one. Could this be a Mordheim revival? It very well could be – we just saw Games Workshop show off an updated Necromunda style game.

With its “core set’ label, we can assume this is the first in a line of these “Warhammer Underworlds” games, with several expansions coming behind it.  It also is labeled “A Fast Paced Game of Tactical Arena Combat” which combined with the image of a Stormcast hero fighting off several Khorne Bloodbound makes me think of last year’s Gorechosen. Remember it’s tagline “A Game of Brutal Arena Combat in the Age of Sigmar”.  It kind of has a familiar ring to it…

GW says they will be pulling the covers off this product with load of more detail at Adepticon 2017 next week and BoLS will be there to cover it.

What do you suppose this one is? Are we talking about a Mordheim reimagined in the Age of Sigmar, Gorechosen’s sequal, or something else entirely?
