The internet is abuzz with Nurgley goodness – come take a closer look at the new Death Guard minis in scale!

A couple of new pictures have surfaced and are making the rounds for the Death Guard from the new 8th Edition Starter Box. Check out the size of that Bloat-Drone!

The Plague Marine on a 32mm base and the Noxious Blightbringer is on a 40mm (Terminator) sized base.

That Foetid Bloat-Drone is MASSIVE. Looking at the bases, it’s easy to see that it’s going to be the size of a Dreadnought – at least in terms of hight. The Lord of Contagion model next to it is on what we believe to be a 50mm sized base. That means the Drone should be on a 60mm base – that’s the same size base as the Guilliman Model!

The Bloat-Drone is one of the stand-outs in my mind for the new Nurgle Miniatures from the boxed set. It’s also the first plastic “Drone” that is in the same family as the Forge World Blight-Drone or the Mechanicum Vultarax Stratos-Automata. And if I’m honest, I kinda like this new drone better than the other two. Plus it’s going to a lot easier for Nurgle Players to get their hands on this model than the others. I know the Primaris Marines are making a splash but Chaos players, you’ve got some sweet new toys coming you way, too! And from the sounds of their rules they are going to be more than a challenge to the new kids on the block.

So what do you think of the new Death Guard Miniatures? Are you ready to accept the gifts from Papa Nurgle and dive in to the new edition?
