Privateer Press: Painting Grymkin with the Pros
Dive into the Grymkin with Privateer Press. Watch them paint up the Twilight Sisters and answer your questions.
Carrying on with their Grymkin gear-up, Privateer Press recently did a live-stream of the new Twilight Sisters getting painted up. Let me say, these minis are gorgeous. Even if you’re not a Warmachine/Hordes player, these are some fatastic miniatures–they have this fairy tale vibe to them that’s dark and twisted in all the best ways. I could see using them for wicked fae in an RPG, or, if you are a Hordes player, these are a great way to tear up the table top.
At any rate, we’ve got an hour and a half long video to share with you today–you can really watch the detail get put into these miniatures. I for one learned a lot just from watching how the palette gets set up–it’s not how I usually do it, but man, there are some fantastic ideas there. So without further ado, here’s the video.

I really like this faction. They seem so different from the other Hordes–like Privateer is going in a slightly more playful direction, which I’m interested to see. I know they turned this one around pretty quickly thanks to the CID and its extensive testing. They’re currently working on Steamroller, so I imagine we’ll be seeing more of that here in the next few months. Especially with Lock and Load right around the corner.
In the meantime, stay tuned for more news, tips, and tricks as Privateer Press rolls on through June (which is Retribution Month, so I imagine we’ll be seeing some Mage Hunter and Dawnguard tutorials in this space real soon) and into July.
Twilight Sisters is the name of my acoustic-punk Twisted Sister cover band. We have two albums, and eight songs between them.
