GW’s Q3-4 2017 Schedule – Putting it all Together
There’s so much GW stuff coming down the pipe – it’s hard to keep track. Time to put it all together:
This is all 100% confirmed from GW from a variety of public press releases and teaser videos over the last few months.
September
Codex Death Guard
We’ve seen at least a half dozen new kits from Mortarion to the Plagueburst Mortar. This promises to be a lengthy major release.
Codex Adeptus Mechanicus
Aside from the codex, nothing is officially known of the return of the Mechanicus
October
Shadespire
We’ve played the game at GENCON and a new Ironjawz expansion has just been announced.
October – November
Codex Craftworld Eldar
Codex Tyranids
Codex Astra Militarum
Three codexes coming across two months. No details on what is coming alongside these. Time will tell.
November
Clans Escher and Goliath return with an all new 21st century version of a GW classic. We’ve seen the minis, and eagerly await details on the rules.
December
Warhammer 40,000 Chapter Approved (will arrive “in time for Christmas”)
It’s like the General’s Handbook – but with lasers.
Two last codexes from the set of 10 for 2017 (we’ve already had GW unveil the first 8, up till November)
Some basic math indicates the last two unknown codexes must be lurking in December or in some other Necron pocket-dimensional month.
2018
Age of Sigmar: Malign Portents
At last Grand Alliance DEATH gets some Age of Sigmar love. Nagash is patient indeed.
Mysteries
Adeptus Titanicus
Horus Heresy Rulebook (will arrive “soon”)
Thoughts
This is a lot of stuff, but there are still quite a number of holes in that schedule. For example, there is very little Age of Sigmar in there – and I doubt GW would let the 8 Realms go idle for 4 months. Forge World has been extremely quiet since the launch of 40K 8th Edition, with not a peep except for the teaser for the 30K rulebook. Adeptus Titanicus has been dead quiet for months.
