The guys at Crucible Crush are at it again. This time, they are rereleasing their Black Sun Miniatures Game to Kickstarter. Last time, they were well on their way to funding the game, but they pulled the plug. They pulled the plug because they wanted to show off more sculpts during the campaign. This time, they are coming back on Kickstarter and pushing more of a Cthulhu type theme for their game.

With Deep Ones, Giant Bugs, and American Soldiers in a jungle setting, the game sounds intriguing to me. For those that prefer straight historical games, they have really nice metal miniatures available for both the Americans and Vietnamese from the Vietnam War. All of these miniatures are in great 28mm casts.

Historical Miniatures

If you are more of a Historical player than a Sci-Fi one, check out these great miniatures that you can get through this Kickstarter. The units are only named Factions simply because that is how they plan to refer to the different forces in the upcoming rule book for Black Sun.

American Soldiers from the Vietnam War. There is a lot of character in these 28mm miniatures.

And models for the Viet Cong.

Cthulhu / Pulp Figures

Crucible Crush has come up with a few more factions for their game with a less historical base.

This is their Adaro Faction. Really, they are Deep Ones with AK-47s and rifles. I love it!

This Faction is made up of surviving WW2 German Soldiers and some creepy Ghouls.

The Golem represents the Undead Faction in Black Sun. It will be interesting to see where they take these models once they are developed.

My Favorite Faction

Of the factions above, the Deep Ones are my favorite. In fact, I have some of those models and they are really nice. My next favourite are the two historical forces.

Wrapping it up…

If you haven’t check out the Black Sun Kickstarter, be sure do do so. Like last time, I am guessing that they have stretch goals to unlock as the campaign goes. Their pledge levels are in Canadian Dollars, which should mean better deals for our American Readers. Below is an image of what you get if you go all in at this point in time.

That said, there are some add-ons not featured in the Complete System Pledge.

The complete system pledge for $268 Canadian Dollars.

Thanks for reading and until next time, Happy Gaming Everyone!!!

Again, aside from writing great gaming related articles, I am also working on compiling a list of all Miniature Gaming Conventions in Ontario (Canada). If you are in Ontario, this list should be of interest to you!
