Maleficent: Mistress of Evil – in theaters October 18th
A fantasy adventure that picks up several years after “Maleficent,” in which audiences learned of the events that hardened the heart of Disney’s most notorious villain and drove her to curse a baby Princess Aurora. The film continues to explore the complex relationship between the horned fairy and the soon to be Queen as they form new alliances and face new adversaries in their struggle to protect the moors and the magical creatures that reside within. Directed by Joachim Rønning; stars Angelina Jolie, Michelle Pfeiffer, Elle Fanning, and Chiwetel Ejiofor.
Lupin III: The First – in theaters in Japan December 6th
The internationally wanted thief, his right-hand man is Daisuke Jigen, and the crew are back on screen in 3D CG that looks pretty decent. Not a lot has been revealed about the plot or when it will get a released in the west. The character is popular enough for it – so I’m expecting there will be a digital/disc release at some point.
