The time has come – the fate of the Everchosen is up to YOU!

Games Workshop’s Global Painting Competition kicks off today with events happening in your local stores. As mentioned earlier, there are three categories you can participate in:

Open: This category can be entered by anyone – including Warhammer staff!

Young Blood: This category can be entered by anyone under 16.

Everchosen: This category can be entered by any non-staff aged 16 or over.

Only the Everchosen category will have a shot at winning the Slayer of Kings sword. There are additional rules that apply:

  • Your entry must be a Citadel miniature.
  • Your entry must be wholly owned and painted by you.
  • This must be a single Warhammer miniature on a 60mm or smaller base.
  • The miniature must be a current part of the Citadel miniatures range – defined as currently featuring on Games-Workshop.com. Entries may be converted using parts from other models which meet the same requirements.

And there are other terms and conditions that apply – Click here for all the Legal Stuff.

What’s Up For Grabs? The Slayer of Kings of course:

“Wait, you said the fate of the Everchosen was in my hands – what was that all about?” Indeed! You get a vote – so it’s up to you to exercise that option.

via Warhammer Community

To be in with a chance to win, make sure to head down to your local store on the 27th of July. You’ll be able to cast one vote in each category, and the top three winners in each will get a certificate to commemorate their triumph.

The top winner of the Everchosen category in each participating store can go on to compete in the global competition for a chance to win the ultimate prize – the Slayer of Kings. This Store Champion will receive instructions on how to submit their entry from there.

Even if you didn’t want to enter a miniature, going to a participating store to vote could really help someone out, either by getting them a few critical votes to push them over the edge or maybe just a friendly boost to someone’s painting confidence. So get to local store and join in the fun!

Just watch out for the ghosts in the bathroom.

Good luck to all the entries – we can’t wait to see what you’ve all worked on!
