40K: White Scars Make Primaris Bikers A Possibility
The White Scars are getting a New Codex Supplement and a whole lot more – but could they also bring on the Primaris Bikes?
Wow – the Space Marine news EXPLODED this weekend. If you haven’t heard, A New Codex plus Codex Supplements are coming along with some new Primaris Versions of characters like Tigurius and Kor’sarro Khan. And a ton of new units to go along with that. As we were reading through all the news and details a few things popped out at us from the White Scars info:
- White Scars Tactical Objectives
- White Scars Stratagems
- White Scars Psychic Powers Stormspeaking discipline – 7 psychic powers
- New Kor’sarro Khan Miniature
…and more.
But that wasn’t all that jumped out. This line in particular stood out:
” The codex supplements will also include all of their associated Chapter’s named Characters and other units – such as Chief Librarian Tigurius, Kor’sarro Khan and a Khan on Bike (emphasis added)…”
A Khan on a Bike you say? Now before you get too excited, they DIDN’T come out and say that this would be a new Primaris Khan on a Bike – but they didn’t say it wasn’t! Of all the chapters the White Scars and the Dark Angel’s Ravenwing are the two Space Marine sub-factions that should have access to Primaris on Bikes. The White Scars are apparently getting a full blown Codex Supplement first so it would make sense if they got first crack at Primaris Bikers, doesn’t it?
Again, this is only a possibility. The more we think about it, we don’t believe Primaris Bikers are on their way – at least with this wave. If they were, and the book is coming out so soon, wouldn’t it make sense if GW teased the Primaris Bikers at the same time as a Kor’sarro Khan miniature? That’s kind of the pattern GW has established, right? A new supplement is exciting and we are very curious to know what other “unique Characters and units” will be in the book.
Perhaps GW is saving the Primaris Bikers for a later date. I mean, if it’s Primaris, there is bound to be some sort of anti-grav thing going on right? Repulsor Bikes? One-man Land Speeders? Primaris Jet-bikers? Who knows! But the White Scars getting a full supplement leaves the doors wide open for interpretation. And why call out a Khan on a bike specifically? Also, keep in mind there are FOUR other Codex Supplements we don’t know yet. Six confirmed books and only the Ultramarines and the White Scars are confirmed. Plus, main codex.
This new marine wave of stuff is going to be massive. And with the White Scars leading the charge, we might just see some more fast-moving mounted cavalry-type units for the Primaris Space Marines soon enough!
