GW pulled off the covers on the Dark Elves and WOW what a great characterful range. Lets’s take a look:
Warhammer: Dark Elves $49.50
Cauldron of Blood / Bloodwrack Shrine $75.00
Kharibdyss / War Hydra $65.00
Witch Elves / Sisters of Slaughter $60
Dreadspears / Darkshards / Bleakswords $35
Ok, first off that is a good amount of big hefty kits there. The welcome updating of the Dreadspears and Witch Elves effectively refreshes the core of the entire army when combined with the last edition update of the Corsairs and Cold One Knights.
The Dark Elf range was afflicted by a massive amount of either metal or ancient ugly kits and this goes a long way towards fixing that.
You HAVE to see the 3-views in particular of the Cauldron of Blood, and Shadowblade. Stunning pieces of work. Of note are the inclusion of named character Hag Queen Hellebron in the Cauldron of Blood kit – perhaps a hint of things to come for ICs in the future. Additionally, I think it’s only only hours before we see Eldar Avatars using the statue of Khaine as a plastic stand-in.
