Warhammer 40K: The Triumph Of St. Katherine – All New Saint/Unit
Here’s a unit so new, it doesn’t even have a mini yet. Come and see the Triumph of St. Katherine, a new kit that embodies the entirety of the Sororitas.
St. Katherine is one of the strangest new kits in the Sisters of Battle Codex. For one, St. Katherine is dead. The whole model is a funerary procession, which of course, is also a powerful leader on the battlefield, because this is 40K. What else were you expecting? In this procession you’ll find the spirit of the founder of the Order of Our Martyred Lady, but all the other Sisters of Battle Orders MIlitant, whose founders spirits are enshrined in this triumphant space coffin.
40K is weird. I just want to get that out there. But as you can see, there’s an idea of what the kit will look like. It is a beast as well, with 18 wounds, reflecting the various sisters and attendants that follow it. It has 14 attacks to start with, as well as 5 special relics that mimic the Order special rules for each of the Sisters Subfactions while they are within 6″ of Saint Katherine. But, as the model takes wounds, the number of relics and attacks falls off.
Until you start regenerating wounds. At any rate, here’s the accompanying lore blurb about the Triumph:
Truly the Sisters of Battle are pulling out all the stops for this one. Which makes sense, these are the sacred saints of the Sororitas. These are the names adorning the steps leading up to the pulpit that Junith Eruita stands upon:
So take heart, faithful warriors, the Triumph and Saint Katherine is here to lead the Sisters into Battle. And here you might have thought Dreadnoughts were a little macabre.
