Geekery: AppleTv+ Offering Shows to Non-Subscribers – Including ‘For All Mankind’
Apple is joining HBO and other services in offering free entertainment for folks sheltering in place. There are some worthwhile series on this list.
Apple is the latest to do this – HBO announced a binge-worthy catalog of free series and movies last week. In addition, Plex is offering three months for free and Sling has made on-demand and live TV free via a new portal that doesn’t require a subscription.
To access what Apple has to offer, download the app (available on Mac, Apple TV, iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, and select Samsung and LG smart televisions) and check out the ‘Free For Everyone’ section. If these shows aren’t enough, they also have a free 7-day trial if you want to binge their other offerings (I’ve been digging Amazing Stories).
