Warhammer: GW Preview Recap
In Case You Missed It – All the big reveals from yesterday’s preview collected right here, with pics, details, and more. Check ’em out.
Yesterday was a massive GW preview weekend in many senses of the word. We’re taking a look back at everything that was revealed, starting with the most giant release, previews of the new Sons of Behemat. Take a look at these big ‘uns.
Note the various details that crop up on the, from the multiple stitched together pieces of cloth around the waist to the shields and armored breastplate making up this giant’s scant bit of protection.
Or this big giant whose net is full of fresh and not-so-fresh meat.
And this giant is decidedly goth, you can find him waiting at the hot topic.
The Sons of Behemat are a brand-new army for Warhammer Age of Sigmar, made up entirely of gargants. The classic Aleguzzler Gargant and three Mega-gargant variants – Gatebreaker, Warstomper and Kraken-eater – make for an army that’s small on model count and big in every other way – especially the carnage they can cause!
AdvertisementWhat’s more, as well as the Sons of Behemat being an army in their own right, every single Warhammer Age of Sigmar faction can take one as an ally, their potent destructive services paid for in copious quantities of food and ale – and the promise of a good scrap. This is truly a kit for everyone, so start figuring out how to fit this mammoth centrepiece model into your army’s colour scheme now!
A new expansion for Blackstone Fortress is in the works. Ascension pits explorers in a desperate race to stop Obsidius Mallex again this time for real we mean it, which has shades of old Superman comics where they proclaim that Jimmy Olson dies or Lois Lane learns Superman’s secrets AND THIS TIME IT’S NOT A DREAM. But it does introduce new enemies, like these awesome Guardian Drones.
And of course there’s another Warcry band on the way. The Khainite Shadowstalkers, who look absolutely rad, and like they’ve got some kind of shadow dash powers…
More Lumineth Realm-Lords previews, of course. Here’s a Scinari Cathallar, who looks a little forlorn in the wind.
And for those of you who thought playing all Halfling Bloodbowl was too easy here’s a team of Snotlings, coming soon to a Bloodbowl Pitch near you.
Every sports movie has an unlikely underdog, right? Meanwhile for the Horus Heresy, take a look at Saul Tarvitz, back again from the 80s.
Also from the next Psychic Awakening, Illuminor Szeras is here!
Along with a radical new Inquisitor named Draxus who uses the weapons and tech of filthy Xenos to destroy them.
And there’s more coming in May, so keep an eye out folks–big things are in store!
What are you looking forward to?
