It seems the Astartes fan film is inspiring a new wave of fan works, including this awesome first step towards the death corps of Krieg.
The 40K fan film Astartes is an incredible work of 3d animation. Now five parts long, the story it’s told is just one small taste of the creativity of the 40K community. But it’s enough to kick off a whole other avalanche of fan works, including the topic of this article, a promising new work of animation from a redditor with a story to tell. Let’s take a look.

I got so inspired by Astartes that i want to create a short film too. However i’m still learning so right now i just animated my 3d Model marching then cloned it. Hope you guys like it! from Warhammer40k
The video is only 20 seconds looking, bit there’s so much to love about it. The details on the Kriegsman’s helmet and visor, the steady gait of the inevitable march of the Imperium. The fact that it’s am animation that’s been cloned doesn’t undercut the feeling of the trillions of lives at the Imperium’s beck and call.
